Bought this shell it has a boosted dual cam in it apparently the bottom end was built CP pistons 9.0.1 and eagle rods ARP rod main and head bolt studs
Fuel pressure with key on 39
Cylinder 1-4 averaged 118-125 with throttle plate closed cold engine sitting for 3 months
My understanding compression should be in the 170s in stock ka24des So in my mind 9.0.1 pistons should not equal 120 across the boards
So im thinking Head gasket or ring lands
Car will start sounds really strong almost wants to catch but dosent
What do you guys think
O his nistune has no base tune I swapped it out with a stock ECU from amy other running s13 I have in my yard no changes same symptoms
I'm stumped any recommendations??

check the timing on the cams in relation to the crank, if any of the timing components are off it will give you false hope no matter how many times you start it

120 is definitely low. My 9.0:1 was 150-155 cold with the throttle plate closed.
