Looking to get input (opinions, comments, praise, complaints, etc.) about different electronic boost controllers out on the market. particarly focused around the boost controllers offered by the big 4 companies. (Gredy ProFec EO-1, HKS EVC, Apex AVC-R, Blitz SBC-ID)ppl can feel free to add more. hopefully this thread will be informative and a good reference for ppl who are considering boost controllers.

imo im considering the blitz sbc-id. from other pplz comments i heard it was one of the best but i might have to settle for the Apex AVC-R for now b/c im broke and enjuku is having a GB on the Apex. i never really looked into or heard reviews about the other boost controllers out so hope you guys who have experience with them can chime in. i would expect most of these boost controllers usually function just about the same just as any other parts are almost identical from the big four.

old article, but a good one. the HKS EVC EZ II is out already. has two settings instead of one and can be upgraded to a full EVC by adding the display.

I love my Blitz SBC-ID3. It's so easy to use and work great. Also looks really cool mounted next to the steering wheel where the CC switches were. But yea its a little pricey at $500. For $1000 you could get the touch screen one made by World Sports. It also has the turbo timer. It is so bad ass. I've talked to people with the Apexi, and they say it's a little complcated to install and use.

Which is more accurate, a stepper motor, a single/dual solenoid setup? Is one better than the other in certain situactions?

AVC-R: The biggest thing that i like bout it is that it got 2 settings that you can just which tru on the fly. But like everybody said so far...its a bit complicated to use. Im still trying to learn all the features on it so i can use it to my full advantage.

GReddy Profec B-Spec II:

Seems to be the best electronic controller for the bucks...two settings, and some mild tune-ability make it decent...Change on the the fly as well...

Criticisms:

PSI mode is whack, I get some weird readings, that upon switching back to Kpa, have nto been a problem.
