takes a while for them to settle in and make themselves feel at home

Solution = Coilovers
I had Sportline and KYB's and it didnt lower anything so just went ahead and got coilovers.

hahaha, the old "sportlines don't lower a dam" realization. Time to chop the spring.
you didnt get sportlines.
the shop gave you pro-kits instead,
the sportlines drop the car, the pro-kits do not.

Can't believe that they aren't low enough. Had sportlines a few years ago, they were too low and too soft for how low they were. I switched out sportlines for pro-kits and loved it (til the car was totalled). IMO get the Pro-kits if you want performance handling. And who installed the sportlines? Did they put the spring perches upsidedown or anything?

my sportlines and kyb agx hardly lowered my car at all
I even took them off and sure enough they say sporline on them.
get coilovers
Didn't eibach reduce the drop on sportlines from 2.2 to 1.7 for the 240sx so the newer springs won't lower the car as much as the older ones? I don't know. Coilovers are a better investment anyways.

i have eibachs on my car (came with it). to be honest i didn't even realize it was lowered until one of my friends pointed it out. it does bring it down a bit, but it's not obvious. it does kill the fender gap a bit, though.

sportlines dropped my car 2'' or so, i got them for free
by the way, there are knockoff springs that say sportline on them.

if u go to eibachs site its still rated at 2.1 or something. even with 2" drop theres still going to be a 2" gap. horrible front 4"+ wheelgap coilovers arent a must but if ur looking for another spring, look into sprint springs life time warranty and drop 1.8" and if u want you can sell me ur sportlines

hmm.... I got H&R springs on my car and they are rated at like 1.7 or something and my car is plenty low enough in the front. Get some H&R they are the best.
