Im doing a budget build ka with sohc pistons. If you hadnt heard this supposedly puts you around 11-1 comp being the sohc pistons have a shallower dish

So my question is will stock headbolts and a felpro headgasket hold the pressure under abuse? im sure itll get up and running no problem but what about under load and abuse

Any better headgaskets out there that arent mls gaskets? i cant use mls gaskets cause im not having any machine work done so my sealing surfaces wont be perfect

I Dont know if i want to use really cheap iron pistons rings or if i should go with npr chrome rings. Im a little worried the cheap rings will seal up too well causing higher cylinder pressures. where the chrome npr's are going to have a harder time sealing to the worn cylinder bores and might help bleed off a little extra pressure as blow by (reducing power but also reducing the chance of a blown hg) bores have already been bead honed

this is a totally low budget build so im not trying to spend extra money on premium parts... its a for fun build i just wwant a guranteed 3k (hard) miles out of it, i am not trying to get it to last for ever.

I personally would do stock headgasket with arp studs...not to much more but get a bit more reliability from it
