Very nice work. The front bumper aint my thing but get it painted and I think it will look fine.

Oh snaps that trunk is ghetto. Haha all you need is 14" wheels sticking out 4" past the fenders and metal flake paint and youd have Mexico's coolest car.

1sikgti
10-17-2004, 01:15 AM
I guess criticizm is to be expected for being diffrent.Ima deal with the trunk cause havnt seen to many 240s if any with it an not evrything has to be "jdm tyte yo"

Looking nice. That back-end looks great. As for you haters... Get a life. Im sure the work you do to your 240's does not come close to 1sikgti, but yet you cocky pencil dicks, have some thing to say when ever someone post their work in progress.

10-17-2004, 02:15 AM
Thanks a million,s15 can be excuted right but I am not a huge fan of the bumpers they make for the conversion an stock is just much cash for my blood. Thanks for the complimnt!

10-17-2004, 04:37 AM
How do you back up?

mrmephistopheles
10-17-2004, 05:20 AM
anyway. My real $0.02 - molding bodypieces sucks, unless your car is a carpet queen. The molded wing isn't so bad... it's not like it's likely to be broken off while drifting... Front bumper is hideous. Take it off, cut it into bits and burn it while reciting the necronomicon. I don't care if you throw an S13 bumper on there, it'll be better looking than that. Truthfully, you should take it back to GTP and have them give you a full refund and their apologies.
The wheels are good and the Tomei wheel is nice. The sideskirts are... okay... kinda Bomexy. rear bumper is ok.
Just get a clean F bumper, paint it and call it good. Just don't mold it.

projectRDM
10-17-2004, 05:40 AM
I agree. First steep driveway you pull into will crack all the filler right off the sideskirts.

And I'm not feeling the yellow headlights either. You're not in France.

justinhustle
10-17-2004, 08:06 AM
i got the same spoiler...the rest i throw up on :(

gtp anything is bullshit, if youre going to the trouble of molding body parts on...and getting a 200 dollar bumper. wow. just plain wow.

you could have a sick car. get a version select kit and keep it clean, not shaved all over =/

MakotoS13
10-17-2004, 10:04 AM
molding anything that MIGHT flex later on is a bad idea. the wing will probably crack where ya molded it, i'd almost bet money on it. with that said it loooks alright aside from the trunk. how do you open it without doing it from inside?

it ain't my flavor but i wont' knock it too bad since ya seem to know what your doin and have some decent work done thus far.

rupertaker1
10-17-2004, 10:34 AM
Car looks good, especially the Tomei wheel =)

I'll have to agree with everyone else, I've had things molded on other cars and I will NEVER do it again. Unless it's a true show car, it's just too much of hassle.

to clear up some things, the car came to me already molded an shaved up,I tried to give the car back an hour after doin the trade but didnt happn,so I worked with what I was given.Might not be for everyone cause its not the cliche' of modding a 240,but I have grown used to it.Also I am sure the bumper is goin to look better once the sidemarkers an kouki blinkers are installed.Skirts, rear skirt an wing are bomex. Thanks fo being honest,I apreciate that.

10-17-2004, 02:32 PM

to me she looks pissed and kinda like she just woke up.

as far as the car goes, i'm not too sure about the kit, it's a little bit too much kit for me, but it looks ok.

you might wanna photoshop some 100% red tail lights, that might help clean up the fact that the whole center piece is gone,

and then get rid of those nasty ass wheels, i'll pick them up and take them to the dump for you. ;-)

HyperTek
10-17-2004, 08:12 PM
yo man, given ur situation, it does look alot better.. Best of luck with it.. kinda suxors that I saw the guy that you traded cars with put ur old car up for sale in the forums... that really sucks...

They got it all wrong, GTP quality is really coming up.

For the trunklid deal, I say paint that strip area black, and just slap a Nissan Badge over it.. might look like the original piece is there...

BoroBoroS13
10-17-2004, 08:22 PM
Well considering how the car looked when this thing started, it has come a long way. If you notice the body lines, door handles, and all the other "show" body work was done before he bought the car. I hate the front bumper too but oh wellz, maybe it will look ok painted.

MakotoS13
10-17-2004, 08:22 PM
you're gonna get a new decklid anyhow, might as well do that while you're sending it to paint....

1sikgti
10-17-2004, 08:33 PM
I am kinda in a dilemma with the trunk lid.I love the spoiler, hate the shaved part.spoiler is molded on,so do I sacrifice shaved for spoiler? The spoiler flows with the car at this point, grrr!

The car is hot, unique wing, superb rims, and in 10 years you will find out that your girl now looks just like her Mom....  the fact that you are doing most of the body work yourself is a great asset....I love DIY's.... :rawk:

Love the bumper and I agree with you, after paint and lights is going to be kool.......

1sikgti
10-17-2004, 11:21 PM
Got the rims from www.takumiproject.com,mas an his partner hooked up nice an re-bored the centers of the wheels to fit perfect on the 14.I prefer zenki front also, suits the round-ness of the car.

hey man you cars looking good can't believe you done all that since i last saw your car. f**k all the haters the car looked pretty good that night i last saw it.all the stuff your gonna do will shut them up. but i don't know about the front.... i got to see it when it's done and besides i thought you wanted to go with down playing the car. anywayz just my 2 cents. ohh and i love the rims!!

10-18-2004, 02:47 AM
looks like alot of work. are you going to fix the hood? props for ditching the s15 front and going with a zenki front end...

clear up those headlights! look for a archived faq by stickgoat on nico. works well for yellow lights that you'd think are too far gone.

i would ditch the trunk/spoiler and get stock spoilerless trunk with the regular zenki centerpiece, but that's just me.

i vote for white. don't go green. i'm sick of my green car and can't imagine anyone spending good cash to actually paint it that color. good luck with it.

psychedelicbeats
10-18-2004, 04:38 AM
i'm gonna tell you straight up that the mix/match body parts wont make it look right in the end. i think you're better off just getting a matching bomex front instead of a c-west[copy?] and a black or a dark paint to hide all of the defects down. don't use single stage paint unless you have to, and once you do use a lot of coats and hardener. color sand, and buff... i would highly suggest using a 2 or 3 stage process, even though it's gonna cost you. it'll be worth it.

note: 1day paint, macco, etc. use single stage. u know when u have single stage paint when u buff it down and see color on the pad.

1sikgti
10-18-2004, 09:11 AM
Probably end up with white in the long run, unless I find a dark blue I like.Maybe its the bumper being bright white an the rest dark, but the bumper matches everything else fine.C west has small tear drop inserts nearly indentical to the ones on the back of the bomex skirts. Also cwest sides end in a block shape to match the block shape ends of the bomex skirts.Trust me it all flows, but I think the bumper being bright white without any lights is throwing people off.Gonna try an fix that ding in the front of the hood, its in a bitch spot.As far as headlights,I need a new driver one(its broken)so I may either de-yellow em or go an get some edm headlights. For those who know how far this car has come since I bought it,thanks for the replies an for those who dont but still apreciate it,thank you! Hope to c you all at the eibach meet!

the car looks pretty bad all around. the only nice part on it is the nissan badge.

RBS14
10-18-2004, 12:36 PM
bumper is hideous. tail lights are fugly. Especially since the body work is all wavy and shitty. stock body line is essential, looks like poop w/out it. shaved door handles huh? reading too many lowrider mags maybe?

so all in all, i'd sell it and start over. But keep the wheels, they nice.

atom
10-18-2004, 04:11 PM
The c-west front just doesn't match with the rest of the car. Since you had bomex skirts already the bomex front bumper would have been better IMO (theres some pics of a white zenki with bomex front in the pic thread that looked pretty decent). I actually kinda like the shaved body line. The taillights and shaved door handles aren't my thing either but since you got the car like that.........I dunno. I think the front bumper and the wing are the most heinous parts of the car (especially the wing).
