Can I kinked heater bypass hose (the U shaped hose on the inside of the intake manifold) cause an overheating issue? and would removing the T stat help fix the issue
So i recently just rebuilt a ka24de. it has not overheated currently because i turn it off at operating temp but its keep climbing in temp and i am using a 180 degree stant thermostatso it shouldnt be getting to the stock 195 temp.
I am wondering if the heater/coolant bypass hose being kinked could cause this issue. (its on the inside of the intake manifold, its a U shape. I know mines kinked) And i assume IF it can cause the engine to overheat, removing the T stat would help it run cool. (opening flow to the waterpump)
Upper radiator hose gets very warm while lower rad hose stays very cool so the cooling is there i just think the T stat might be clocking coolant flow to the water pump?
i have an oem nissan water pump, A brand new unit so i highly doubt thats the issue
I put the front end up high and tried to burp the system, fans hooked up, heater on while im bleeding
Anyone have any insight? Am I confused or does removing the T stat make sense
