Hi all,
For anyone who has ever ran a Greddy/Freddy intake manifold on the SR, you've definitely ran into the issue of the cold pipe fitment issues.
Obviously for those of us doing extensive mods, cutting and clamping a few charge pipes is no big deal, but I'd like to see others setups and their way around the issue. So if you have a Greddy or Freddy IM and a FMIC, post up a pic of your cold pipe!
Here's what I fabbed up on my hatch. I am looking to do something different for my coupe:

Greddy solved this problem when they made the intake manifold back in the 90's...

Not mix'n matching parts helps avoid fittment issues.

Well yes, Greddy solved the issue for those of us running their IM and FMIC, but there are lots of us who have CXRacing and other "no name" (for lack of a better term) brand FMIC's that don't match the Greddy one.

The ISR FMIC kit is an exact clone of GReddy. They even cloned the optional cold pipe too.

Thanks.
If you have a setup with a different style intercooler, please post a pic. If not, please move along.

im trying to figure out what to do for my intercooler piping
My engine came with a godspeed fmic kit. Does anyone know if that greddy cold pipe would work with the godspeed intercooler? Also is there any hot pipes made for top mount turbo setups?
Maybe i would be better off having my someone fab me new piping?

For the GReddy / ISR pipe to work with your FMIC you need to have this kind of elbow coming off the IC. From there to the TB is one pipe.

I think with that 90 degree elbow right off the IC, you'd be able to fit the original cold pipe with chopping very little material off of it. I'm concerned about the idle air bung. This may also concern those who still have their OEM fan shroud (which you should) as the piping may come in contact with that.

most intercoolers fit around the same. Most FMIC have the inlet and outlet around the same location, so worst case scenario you would have to slightly adjust your no-name intercooler to fit a pipe that was intended for greddy IM and IC.
It's just piping everyone...
This is my rb setup fwiw

yeah, except your picture wasnt taken with a potato xD
I also had the intercooler intalled at some point. Best way to check your piping for leaks before going in.

I second that.

I think your pipes are backwards. but uh yeah like someone else mentioned they make piping for that already.

On the hatch? Yeah.
I cut the cold pipe in half and flipped it to fit...
