Ended up scoring a nice little CA set up which came with an apexi standalone with a brand new fc commander. From my understanding the fc will tell me stuff like oil, boost pressure and air/fuel?? Problem is i bought brand new AEM gauges for oil, boost, and air/fuel and they're already fitted in the car. So from what im thinking is im gonna have to splice into the harness to get readings from both ECU and the gauges? Which really sucks because i just bought a brand new wiring specialties harness.. if this is the case does anyone have a pinout for the apexi ecu/wiring diagram? Also how well does this standalone work? There doesnt seem to be much literature even on nicoclub. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't work that way. PFC only displays what OEM uses. Splicing in aftermarket gauges into the PFC won't do anything. Aftermarket gauges are way more accurate than OEM anyway(depending on the maker)

If you have the commander you can display it's reading on the commander.

Sounds like you need to read though this http://www.paulr33.com/powerfc-faq/powerfc-faq.htm

The Apexi Power FC is a very simple standalone ECU, it doesn't add any features other than being able to tune the car and for some you can run boost control and a MAP sensor (D-Jetro versions)

On a budget, the PFC is a great way to get your car running properly with a different AFM setup, larger turbo and larger injcetors, but you will still need separate gauges/controllers to monitor anything other than what the OEM ECU is capable of monitoring/controlling. Is it the best option for a standalone ECU? No, but it gets the job done.

Since you say you already have gauges in your car, just leave them hooked up as is, there is no point to try and splice them into anything because it won't work.

They arent hooked up to anything yet. What im trying to say is the CA obviously has an oil pressure sensor. Which gets plugged into the ECU. I wanted to know if its possible to use the AEM sensor for both the standalone AND the gauge to read. Unless if i just left the ecu connector unplugged and just ran straight to theAEM gauge wouldnt that affect how the standalone is reading? Same goes for 02/boost.

You are over thinking all of this, why the hell would you want to trust 25+ year old sensors vs brand new sensors that came with your gauges?

The sensors that came with the AEM gauges can be used for the AEM gauges, the factory Nissan sensors, can be used for the ECU's readouts.

You cannot just splice wires off the OEM sensors and use your AEM gauge, it won't work. Get an oil sandwich plate and put both the OEM and AEM oil pressure sensors in it. As for the wideband, the stock Nissan sensor is a narrow band, you need to add another bung to your downpipe to be able to run that gauge/sensor. Factory has no boost sensor, just wire the boost gauge up as the manual says and it will work.

You have finally answered my question. I wasn't looking to use the OEM sensors for the gauges. Just trying to figure out how to use both. Thank you TB13.

Just an FYI that oil pressure sensor doesn't send any kind of pressure reading to the ecu. No oil, the switch grounds and turns light on the cluster. I trashed my sensor and put aftermarket gauge sending unit in without a sandwich plate.

I was thinking about that too because i didnt run one on my KA. Oh well already bought an OE sensor along with a sandwich plate.
