I was driving and noticed my car wasn't running too good so I pulled over. I turned the car off, then back on and the needle was all the way past the H. I went to check the rad to see whats going on and I was missing my rad cap. Bought a new one, topped off the rad and drove it home stopping every 5 mins due to the temp starting to creep up.
I thought it probably had a ton of air in the system so Started by bleeding the system. Every time I go to bleed the system the coolant line stays at the same level for a while then after about 10 minutes the coolant starts pulsating and pouring out a ton of coolant and air. it does this constantly but once I turn off the car it still needs about half a gallon of coolant.

bleed it again. seems like you have a big air pocket in the system.

^this. Use a driveway to bleed your cooling system and don't forget to turn on your heater!
