Does a Stand alone EMS need a to run a MAFS?.. For instance would I need to run a 300zx MAFS with a Apex Power FC ems?..
Also. Could a Power FC be hooked and controlled by a laptop computer?

There are two versions of the power FC. The MAF version and the MAFless version. The MAfless version is called DJetro and it uses it's own MAP sensor and intake air temp sensor.
Numerous other standalones allow you to eliminate the MAF. A plus for turbo applications is that it allows you to run an atmospheric blow off valve nicely. Power FC has a commander that allows you to make all adjustments on it. With the FC datalogit and wideband 02 you can hook it up to a laptop.
Why don't you do a search? There is so much info on the website as well as retailer sites such as phase2.
