Has anybody used any of the universal weatherstripping kits? The only other options it seems I have are to find an s14 in a junkyard And pray I can get it off the vehicle without breaking it.

Can you still get seals for the s13 sunroofs? Mines got a chunk missing.
This is a window seal thread now.

Ahaha, unfortunately that looks to be discontinued. P/N 91210-35F20 so you can try to find an aftermarket option

Well shit. Thanks for looking that up!

No problem, looks like that part number I gave you is actually for the entire sunroof and moulding, try 91246-35F20 if you look for an aftermarket solution, that should be the part number for just the moulding.

I have 2 brand new S14 windshield "reveal" mouldings for sale. OEM Nissan.
There is a retainer, and reveal moulding. Reveal clips into the retainer.
PM me if you need one. Ill sell for cheap.
If anyone is interested, I can make a thread somewhere where I can check availability of OEM stuff for you guys. I get pretty damn bored at work sometimes lol

You guys are tripping about the rear quarter glass...
the rubber weatherstripping is BONDED to the glass and not sold separately. I purchased new quarter windows for the fastback years ago, cost a grip. No longer available nowadays.
S14 rear quarter windows have also been discontinued. Last pricing I found was around 550/each.

Thank you!

I have universal windshield weatherstripping on my s14 and it seems to be working ok. The one thing that sucks is that I don't have the water guards on the side anymore so water gets flung to the side and inside the car if the window is not all the way up. Yes I like to drive around with my windows a little open when it rains lol

This is why I get extremely pissed off when people scarp or part out hatches and don't attempt to save the hatch quarter glass... like at least cut around the fuckon metal for Christ sake

I did yesterday when you mentioned it, just like the S13 the moulding is part of the window and they are discontinued.

what a bummer. you can fuck someones car up royally by smashing their 1/4 windows out.
i might just head over to my garage and smash my own windows out, just to prove a point. what that point is, i dont know.
Im sorta bummed this thread popped up... since I got my hatch I've been meaning to replace basically all the weather and rubber trim. Had part numbers and everything but never felt the need to spend a grand in doing so. Now its going to be all gone before I get a chance to get my car back to factory :(

I have to replace the outer weather stripping on both the front and rear windshield and was told the windows have to be removed in order to replace them (95 s14). Is this true? Was also told the oem weather stripping isn't as good as the newer stuff because of the "better" material nowadays. Was quoted $190 for the front ($150 labor (removing glass)/$40 universal stripping) and $140 for the rear. Any input is appreciated. Thx

I heard something similar but not too concerned about the newer stripping being any better. A friend of mine works at a windshield replacement company and he says the odds of the glass breaking when the pull the windshield are very high. Makes this risky. Anybody done it before. Is this true that it risks breaking the windshield

Yes having to remove a piece of glass that large has a risk of it shattering. I'm assuming that's why they charge so much for labor. I was just wondering if in fact removing the glass was necessary in order to replace the weather stripping.

I guess now in 2017 people are desperate for that OEM new new.

That too. If there is a way or a certain universal stripping that allows you to put it on with the windshield not being removed

Pretty sure you only have to pull the windshield to replace the moulding fastener if its damaged. I'm in this situation with the back window; no need to pull it but if i put new moulding on it, won't stay secured in the upper corners.
