The main difference for me between the Hay Day and now, is I don't give as much of a fuck now as I did then. I suspect I won't stay towards the top for long. I forgot how much fun it is being able to completely make someone have all green squares or red squares with one click.

Now I recall toward the end Phlip and I got pretty stingy with doling out rep.

Someone deleted my post begging for reps in exchange for free SRs. I'm going to have to get craftier with the rep scams. Everyone knows nothing is more valuable than rep on Zilvia and I can't rest until I ruin it for everyone and get it taken away again.

I love clicking on the old threads that I got rep from, takes me back to when I was really into things. In retrospect rep wasn't a bad thing, it created a system of checks and balances(it wasn't all on the MOD's) and kept things fun around here.

I don't think I ever received a single pm from someone crying about neg rep when I was a mod.

It's possible that when they took it down it came to a head and more and more people were complaining. By that point I almost stopped repping people either way because I could make someone have either full green or full red squares.

I think some people just take some things too emotionally/personally to heart as with most millennials nowadays. If you don't want the bad with the good, then don't post.

As for the green vs red in marketplace, it really holds no rhyme or reason to affect any sales/purchases. Just because a group decided to negative rep you for something that hurt their feelings even though you weren't trying to be a jerk. It has nothing to do with your honesty and integrity of selling/buying.

I can see both sides though. As an example, I can see me and a group of my "zilvia friends" negative rep someone like you that have a bunch of green to the red zone for not refunding my money at 7:00 PM today like you said you would though even though it was sent at 7:05 PM. Or half the message forum groupies can negative rep you for sending another "popular" zilvia member a non-working or broken part caused by shipping and the story was misconstrued. People tend to exaggerate or leave certain details out to sway the majority in their favor. Or it is legit and a bad seller can have negative rep too, but at this point why deal with the negative rep when bad sellers should be banned from the marketplace permanently anyway?

Honestly it's a rep system. I some how ended up in the Red and didnt do anything. Didnt stop me from making any less money from my job, building my car, or even stop me from buying me new car. Truth is all I did is bump a harness I sold for my rating to go down, don't let some color bother you

I turned rep back on at the beginning of May. I announced nothing. I ignored a LOT of PM and refused to respond to this thread.
I did it to sit back and see the general reaction to it being on, whether people would abuse it like they did last time or not. I did it with the mind that if it went badly, it would be put back out to pasture at the end of the month or if it went well, it could stay until someone messes up again.
At this point, the collective decision is to let it live a little while. Know, however, that we ARE watching the comments being posted and by/to whom they're being given. If it goes back off the deep end like last time, it will be removed without warning.
