So now for the background on the car. A buddy of mine has owned this car since 2002, he bought it off of the original owner. He did the mods to the car (I think even has a build thread somewhere on here.). In 2007 he put the Reman Malloy Mazda engine in it. He drove it to a buddies to get the XS Power Pack installed and they did something wrong and didn't run again until three weeks ago. It sat in his garage the entire time. I rewired the power pack and installed a new fuel pump and it fired right up. I bought the car as a project with the intention of LS Swapping the car, but I think this setup is too nice to gut this car. The car runs great, idles great, etc. Won't build boost, has a leak somewhere and my patience are too thin to continue to mess with it. Surely it is something simple, I'm more of a tinker car guy, can't do too much in depth, and no one around me seems to want to work on it to assist me in figuring out exactly where leak is. The reman engine has about 200 miles on it. My guess is that there is a boost leak, maybe somewhere I'm not looking is dry rotted.
If I figure out what it is soon, my wife will allow me to keep the car, if not I would like to sell or trade. Not sure what to even ask for the car as I have been out of the FD world for too long. Right now while I'm awaiting our new house and pole building to be built, I don't have adequate space to even work on it.
The paint is ok, but it could use a paint job. Body is super clean not dents or dings, wheels need polished, but are in superb condition!
The car has the best of the best parts on it and was built with the intentations of having a 500HP reliable daily.
