Alright so I just bought a blacktop sr out of a 180sx clip. Im swapping it into my s14, and im pretty sure I can do all the wiring myself, if not ill buy a ws harness. Anyway, im going to be buying the isr m spec fmic kit, and ive read a couple forms saying how you dont need a bov if your running stock boost? Im lost haha.

Actually I have one more question, so since im making my own heater hoses, what do I do with the oem s14 temp sensor on the oem hoses?

Of course you don't need a BOV. Most people actually dont run BOVs. Whoever runs BOVs is usually for the sounds.
The OEM S14 temp sensor is on the engine not hose. You leave that plugged in.

Yeah I searched it up for awhile and found that I really dont need a bov unless im running alot of boost. So i got that figured out. And thats exactly what I thought, now im just confused on what the hell that cable is going through the firewall to the oem heater hose? What is that?

BOV is to prevent compressor surge. Basically what happened is when u shift or start to go from boost to vaccum. The air goes back and stops the turbine from spinning that the flutter you hear. This causes your turbo to go out faster. Yes with more boost the worse this is. I don't run BOV just becuase I like the compressor sound and don't like all the sounds. There are turbos these days made to reduce surge but not 100%
