Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a gtr style grill for my Silvia front. I'm currently using a J's bumper. Was test fitting and realized that the grill sits tall and didn't line up properly with the holes.
While looking at online pics of gtr grills I realized a majority of people use it with the Aero bumper which goes over part of the grill. Would the J's bumper overlap as well so it could fit better and more accurately? The issue is the bottom of the grill touches the bumper so it can't move down more. Looks like ass right now. Any recommendations/help would be appreciated.

Looked at it again. Don't think taking the bumper off and reinstalling after the grill will work seeing that they'll hit...

That appears to be an aftermarket gtr grill, so fitment issues are to be expected. That bottom gap is huge. AFAIK there is only one GTR grill tht fits s13 silvia perfect. It is one piece made of hard plastic, and there are no markings on them but they fit like a glove. Used to be a dime a dozen now cost $200 plus to get a good one.

hmmm, this one is in fact a plastic one. Even has the back mesh that came with them. Looks accurate to an OEM grill from this thread http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=135705&page=78

Yeah nowadays I'm sure there are all kinds of silvia grills both original and replica. If it is plastic, then does it look like the mesh was added after the fact with glue? Normally the GTR grill doesn't have mesh, only the reps did. I have used the original Silvia GTR grill on both Silvia and 240sx with Silvia front and never had fitment issues. Did you have a Silvia center panel in place and now you are changing out for the grill or are you just putting the front together now?

In this particular grill, the mesh is riveted in. Others I've seen are screwed in. The real authentic nismo grills I've seen had the mesh riveted in.I just might sell this one if I can't get it to work right

I thought about it and I don't think there ever was an OEM or stock or Nismo one. I think it was just a certain style made by different companies. I've gone through a few of these grills in past years, and none of them ever had a part number or manufacturer stamp. I do remember there were a few different companies and styles. I collect s13 associated stuff for my cars and have about 5 or 6 grills and panels. I believe that stock there was the small or big letter plastic panel, or the light up glass one. There was the GTR style slatted grill and the battle version open with mesh style. Yours is probably just a combo of the two that some company made. Some of the aftermarket brands I remember were: More Collage, East Bear, Ganador, etc. Looks like you took the pics down but the one you had seemed to have the right shape and style.
