is there a difference between KA24DE and KA24E tranny?? ill have a DE tranny for sale very soon. This week to be more specific. I'll have a date ready for pick up by thursday.

i really dont know if theres a diffrence between the single or dual cam trannys. does anybody know?

yes there is a difference. the trow out bearing is diffeent. i currently have a e tranny behind my DE. (was goin SR when financial issues arose). heres what i know for sure

both will bolt up to either engine.
both use same clutch DISK
have different flywheels
have differnt pressure plates
have different throwout bearings.

how do i know this?

was stupid and sold my DE tranny b4 i got my SR had to put in another KA24DE cuz of money issues. didnt have DE tranny so i figured id throw on the E tranny. bouth a clutch kit thinking they were the same. (big mistake) went to put all the parts on. well since i sold the DE flywheel i had to use the E one. yea the DE pressure plate ALMOST fits. I was about to hammer it on when i thought no bad idea. soooooo

yes they are different.
yes they will bolt in place just the same.
yes you need to make sure you have the right clutch kit that matches the flywheel and tranny.
