Not sure what exactly you mean. Have the HUD with it's attached cables and a digital cluster.

Damn I just sold one not too long ago. And Just fyi, the harness is the same between the dohc and sohc engines. I have one from an 89 in my 94 right now. GL

I heard the DOHC one causes to show double the speed.. not sure if that applies to clusters only or to cables as well

The clusters are both the same. Only thing different is the tachometer compatibility i.e. DOHC tach will only work with DOHC motor. Harness origin makes no difference, I've verified that myself.

I buy broken digital speedometers and repair them. I always run them in my car for a week before selling. I've never had a speed issue with either DOHC or SOHC clusters.
