Just guaging interest for our SR comp. catch tank/system. Included would be the 6061 T6 tank, welded on AN-8 on each side, -8 to barb then heat shielded clear/braided plastic lines running to center vent, then down to crankcase. On the intake side, an NPT to barb replaces the PCV valve. It is designed for motorsport use and would be for "off road use only" ahem. It also is designed to fit with electric fans w/ out a shroud.

No need to mention this really, SRs are for off-road use anyway...

It won't spray oil on the valve cover. There is steel wool inside to "catch" the oil, just vents out the top. We will start out with a group buy and for 5 people we will hopefully be able to offer it for close to $200. I will list it in the group buy section when I have a few made and the testing and final design is complete. :)

How is this can supposed to be drained? A bolt at the bottom perhaps?

The final evolution will most likely have a level window on the front and some kind of drain. Remember, this was the first prototype and there are a list of improvements that will be on the production piece.

All that would be different would be the bracketry and maybe the length of the hose. The basic design would be the same and we would make sure it would be compatible with whatever layout you have.

it looks nice, but 200 seems a bit much when any $40 ebay catch can can pretty much server the same purpose. if you could get the price down id be interested.

You can also use an empty water bottle to serve the same purpose. I have yet to see a catch can on ebay (or anywhere) designed specifically for an SR or any car in particular for that matter. You get what you pay for.

my greddy catch can was like 100 or so and im happy with it. 200 is cool for something a lot of people dont have i suppose, but whatever. i live in ohio. no one notices

Wow, cut up $15 worth of aluminum, wled it together, and sell it for $200!! what an idea! I know ricers are laughingly easy to steal money from, but here I think form follows function in most instances. It is a nice piece of work, but your product brings absolutely nothing to the table that isn't already there, and on top of that, you want to charge double what existing, similar devices cost.

its actually about $10 of aluminum, $70 in fittings/hose and 5 hours of labor. We charge $80 an hour for TIG stainless/inconel/aluminum. A greddy catchcan costs less than 20$ to make including all associated costs.

You're (pancor) knowledge amazes me.

let us know what the difference between a universal cusco catch can and a SR specific catch? both do the same thing when is a catch can needed to be car specific?

i guess since its not car specific then its not worth it?

you know when a car specific item [SR catch can] is not needed when you have thousands of people already running universal ones just fine.

i paid 115 for my cusco unit for the SR now i did have to cut my own hose (5min) but that doesn't really justify the extra dough
