Look on the eibach website for those "technichal numbers" you speak of. Hint, hint. Maybe they are part numbers.

Mine have the Eibach logo on them, say "Sportline" and a bunch of other crap and numbers.

Are they used? If not they're prolly not Eibach springs.

Take pics and email Eibach, worked for me when I sent pics of an suspension brace to APEX'i to make sure it was legit (it was)...

you may have got scammed, but with springs like those it doesnt really matter. if all 4 corners sit even that's about all those springs are good for anyways

Springs like those? Wether your springs are in a coilover set-up or bought by themselves the do the same job. You buy spring for the spring rates, new ride height, durability and longevity. Eibach is the largst and most respected spring manufacturer. Cars with eibach springs run in every major racing circuit, and in F1, all cars that use coil springs, use Eibach, and not because of a rule or something. Just because alot of people consider them the best manufacturer. They also have supremem quality control, and standards. Wether you buy an expensive custom rate sping from them, or sportlines, you get the same quality. So to me, it would matter a great deal, if they were eibach or not. :)

NO-The top dollars you pay for coilovers include adjustability, build quality, pillow ball mounts and the most important part of coilovers are not the springs, they are the shocks.

REALLY? why dont you tell me the spring rates for the Eibach's? You dont know them do you?

Yes, the quality of their springs are superior to others, but when you are running prokits and sportlines, it doesnt matter.

All car with coil springs use Eibach? DAMN!!!

You are right. You're buying a reputation which is somewhat important but for noodle soft rates like the sportlines/prokits, i dont think you're gonna have a problem with cheaper springs.

yeah i run eibach springs on one of my cars. ERS..racing springs. They are lightweight. Lifetime anti-sag guarantee. And custom rates.I had pro kits before the ERS..the prokits are such crap, it's not even worth downgrading from stock setup. Get yer money together and buy some good stuff..

I've had Sportlines on a couple of cars over the years... And I bought them new. They never had an Eibach logo on them. Just red with white "Sportline" and a part number. Don't freak out, they sound legit.

When you said "springs like those" I was inferring you meant spring quality, not the fact that you're just buying spring as opposed to coil-overs. I know coil-overs (of good quality) would be a better choice than just springs, due to adjustability. Sorry, I misunderstood you, my bad. But there is still more to individual springs, than your ride sitting evenly.

REALLY? why dont you tell me the spring rates for the Eibach's? You dont know them do you?

Ok, first of all, I was stating the reason you buy a certain spring. I wasn't saying that the sportlines are awsome or anything. I was meaning it like, say you know that rate and drop that sportlines will give you and you like that. Then you get some that are fony. Now your car may handle worse, and ride stock height. Then it would suck for you, and the fact that the car sits evenly, would not make you any happier. Oh, and btw the rates for eibach sportlines are; (progressive) Front: 137-230 lb/in Rear: 128-200 lb/in.

All car with coil springs use Eibach? DAMN!!!

Ok, obviously I didn't make my statement clear, maybe bad comma placement? I was never good at english. Anyway, I was saying that in F1, all F1 cars that use coilsprings, use eibach. But since we're not debating their quality, I guess that's kinda a mute point.

Ok, so all in all, I misunderstood and you misunderstood. Sorry, about that. If you have the money, I would also say to buy coilovers. My whole point was just to say that getting springs that aren't what you expect isn't cool. If you get a softer rate than you expected, or a way higher rate than you want for a daily driver, that would not be cool. Agreed? I didn't mean to piss you off. I didn't want to start a fight. That's the downfall I see in the "internet". (wrote it right that time mrmephistopheles) People always want to argue. The time spent trying to prove points could be spent on helping each other gain more knowledge about cars and the technology behind them.
:wiggle: no hard feelings on this side :wiggle:
