original 3 posts updated. Again, if you want all the details, click the link in the original post. I'll be more detailed from here going forward.

I'll try to answer a few questions I assume will be asked.
-Newest turbo is a GTX3076R .82AR.
-The car was never ever on a dyno. Friend street tuned it every time. Ran 18psi out of the Borgwarner S256sx. Shooting for 20 this year.
-Running LS2 coilpacks.
-Fab guy is Travis (username: flatout) aka wilson speed.
-Yes he made a jig for KA manifolds.

I don't. I bought the intake manifold along with a bunch of other KA stuff.
It makes the car a whole lot easier to work on though, haha.

Why did you cut off the t3/t4 flange on the CX manifold? I'm assuming it was to go t3 flange only?

How much does your friend charge for those ka t3 manifolds?

The way the Borgwarner sat in comparison to my bullseye t3/t4 (in the first pictures) it would've hit my tubs. So we rotated it 90* so bring it inwards.

I can't give an honest number, but if you're really interested you can PM me and I'l give you his number. I'd say around $600.

Fitment of turbo. Waiting on some lines and fittings to re-do my PS lines and clean those up and out of my way.

http://i.imgur.com/aia56ra.png

Figured while I was in the steering stuff, I might as well do a solid steering shaft bushing. Turns out, the 27 year old rubber one was pretty beat up.

Took the KF's apart to send the faces to threepiece.us (they're already on their way) for a acid dip and re-chrome. One of them was flaking. I'm going to take the barrels to work and sandblast them and have a friend powdercoat them black.

Small updates. Its been cold here, and we got 2 feet of snow within the last 2 weeks. So, motivation is at a low.

Got my faces back from threepiece.us for chrome. I can't say enough good things about the finish. They did an excellent job. Bought new nuts, and had my friend powder coat the barrels black.

Picked up this pretty rare gem, unfortunately (for me) dizzariot is fiending for it. I also sourced a More Collage grille which should be on its way from japan any day now, which will likely replace my shit ass GTR grille.
http://i.imgur.com/2gFKE6H.jpg

Had travis cut and weld my fitting on my PS pump from a 90* to a 45* to keep the line away from the new manifold and combat the heat. Also switched to a RHD z32 (or pathfinder) BM50 1" brake master to also keep the lines away from the heat.

I pulled it out of a car that was being parted out from someone I knew, traded em a set of shitty lug nuts. From there I just cleaned it up and painted it. I've heard good things about the rock auto ones though.

Thats what that is? I had one on my old coupe and cut the center section out cause it was sagging, thought it looked much nicer without it.

Build quality looks top notch, hope to see this thing when I finally make my way up to Canaan for an event.

Been plugging away at the turd here and there. Went to Travis' house to finish my fabwork. Weld on the wastegate flange, weld 90* elbow on compressor housing,\ modify my downpipe, dump tube, and intercooler piping to work.

The downpipe and dump tube have been since heat wrapped, and i'll be running a turbo blanket as well to combat the heat from the master.

Since I had to make all new oil/coolant lines, I took my intake manifold off to make life easier. Figured i'd clean up my engine harness while I was in there. Remove all the OEM emissions garbage and the OEM coil stuff as well. Came out pretty decent looking.

Small update. Been working on putting the car back together. Whole engine bay is together, wiring harness is finished. Need to replace my battery, change my oil filter and fill all my fluids, put in my new wideband 02 sensor, and plug in my turbo timer.
I aim to drive the car this weekend, as its supposed to be 65 Sunday.

I purchased some pre-made LED boards and replaced the hideous LED strips I had in my tail lights previously. Couldn't be happier with the result.

I just did this last night. The circled bolts correspond to the pictured nuts. They are lock nuts so they're just a pain in the ass to loosen. Circled bolts are 13mm and the nuts are 12mm.

Took the first ride last night.
Went to the gas station, got some gas, checked under the hood and came home.

Noticed some weird noises, so I investigated them tonight. My driver side dust shield was rubbing on the rotor. Not sure how/why it moved, but it did. I bent it out of the way.

My power steering felt like garbage. Did some more bleeding, which made things much smoother, but there was still a terrible grinding noise. After some investigation the solid steering bushing was rubbing on the firewall. I refused to take my whole turbo side off, so I jammed a few screw drivers in there, hammered em in, wiggled em around, and nothing rubs anymore. I'll take it for another drive tomorrow night, and if everything feels good, i'll go get an alignment saturday morning.

New turbo sounds pretty cool, but definitely need some tuning. I assumed a similarly sized turbo my AFR's would be DECENT, but I was wrong. It'll be fine for cruising, for now. Hopefully next weekend I can talk travis into tuning.

Caught a pretty bad case of low oil pressure...nothing detrimental, but I wasn't very happy. Figured i'd change the oil and see what happens, same results. So parked the car, and ordered a new oil pump and front cover, as well as a new oil pan. With a some welding and a little help wrenching from Travis, its back together.

Its hard to say. I mostly drive with the windows down which drastically makes things louder. However, with the windows up the car seems pretty quiet. However, everything fuckin rattles so I just turn the radio up anyways.

But this is such a well put together/ quality build. Is this due to solid mounts?
I f'n hate the squeak, creeks and rattles in my s14. I assumed a LOW mileage or well built/restored s-chassis would be the answer.

Thanks for the kind words. All in all, 240's are shit buckets. S14's seem to have a bit more comfort than the 13's. And yeah, I'd ASSUME if I didn't have solid engine/trans/subframe bushings that things would be a bit more comforting. However, I didnt' build the car to drive in comfort.

Welp, heres the big update.

As you can see, my lower radiator support was crooked. Really, fucking crooked. I always did my best to hide it very well, and now im sure you'll all good back and look at how my radiator support was bent, the brackets were angled etc. It always bothered me, and it was time to fix it. Unfortunately don't have pictures, but what Travis and I did was basically drill the spot welds and pull it forward and straight again. There was some yanno, hammering and cutting but it was good enough. I carfaxed the car, and its been in 2 front end collisions, so, No surprise here.

I also cut the spot welds out of the sheet metal behind the headlights. Considering my harness doesn't clip there and I don't have pop ups, all I had there was a few grounds and the stuff for my retrofit on them. All that stuff was bent and mangled too, so it was a good time to replace it.

https://i.imgur.com/sBTaSA8.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/Upev6ql.jpg?1
https://i.imgur.com/ahxQVPB.jpg

I spent the last week doing tons of sanding, cutting, welding and test fitting. Made some replacement panels, bolted in the new upper support and mocked everything up.
https://i.imgur.com/z0YzZtc.jpg

Finally, today was the day. Travis came back and laid some fresh statutory grape.. This time, as a base/clear with some flake. The first time it was just a single stage urethane.

https://i.imgur.com/AOZsDwJ.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/nisBrvY.jpg

While I was in there, I filled in the stupid triangles where the harness used to run, and always get my bay filthy. Pretty awkward to tack in by yourself. I didn't go overboard making them look pretty cause they're rather hidden anyways.
https://i.imgur.com/bwkLKt9.jpg

In the mean time, Travis had also made me a aluminum distributor delete cover for my KA to replace my xcessive one that (i'm not going to name names....but) someone dropped and cracked by accident.

I really like the way the bay turned out with the removable Factory core support!! purlple looks dope too!

I dont drive my car when its wet (obviously when there is a freak storm, shit happens) because there is nothing behind the headlights to stop water from getting to the bay (filter and coil is back there). when time lets me, i might be using your design when i re-do my bay :)

My AEM V2 standalone controls them. Basically wire them in, change some bullshit in the standalone.

It was a bit of a challenge to figure out the settings because all of the old threads on it were for AEM v1 which had a different lay out. However, if anybody needed the settings I could send my map and figure out the changes. Basically the distributor doesn't have a cap and acts more like a CAS (think SR) and tells the computer timing stuff.

Just been poking around a bit, installing the bolt on stuff back into my bay and cleaning up some wiring, i'm sure we're all guilty of doing some ugly wiring that you can't see.

I tapped into the OEM wiring when I put my speedhut gauges in and it was a mess, but it worked. It was always a pain to get the cluster out because everything was hard wired in and I couldn't easily get to the plugs on the chassis harness to unplug the cluster sub harness. So, I pulled that out, gutted the wires I didn't need, added 2 plugs and made it a touch more tidy and easy to remove. The before/after:
https://i.imgur.com/Ixkqmmb.jpg?1
https://i.imgur.com/x4Cs7Ew.jpg

Bruno approves.
https://i.imgur.com/KEdgPfl.jpg

I also wanted to clean up and gut my engine and trans harnesses. The engine harness was just a mess from adding in separate harnesses for the AEM IAT/MAP sensors and LS coils. I wanted it to be one nice and neat harness. Realistically it counts for nothing as the entire harness runs through the trans tunnel and you can't even see it when the engine is in place, but it was just a pain to work with. This will keep everything nice and neat. I'm probably going to get a 5 pin plug for the single wires by the connector for the power/ground to the coils, 2 wires for the wideband, and 1 for the fan trigger.
https://i.imgur.com/P6bBtHh.jpg?1

All thats left of the trans harness is starter, alternator, one plug for the speed sensor on the trans (because the plug for the reverse lights is wired into the chassis cause it never worked in the lower harness, and still didn't when I tested it today) and the plugs that go to the fuse box.
https://i.imgur.com/SftsY9e.jpg

Scooped up these LI Customs radiator brackets, because now that my radiator will sit straight against the support they'll look nice.

Anyways, one day while I was driving home I had an idea. Talked to my machinist at work about it and he made it happen. (the nice part about working at a foundry is having tons of scrap laying around, and when your boss likes you stuff like this happens)

I wanted plugs for my firewall for the harness hole & 2 AC holes. I didn't have enough time to shave them before the respray of my bay, so this would have to do. I took measurements, got them made, and brought them back to work and painted them. Sure they're a step below as clean as a smooth shaven firewall, but whatever. Looks better than previously.

While doing so I obviously had to close off and seal the holes in the condensor box (which is gutted anyways. Wish I could remove this without making the blower motor useless because I still have heat. Thanks Nissan...) So I did some trimming with the dremel, and took a piece of plastic and JB welded it in place.

While I had the engine and trans out, I spent some time scrubbing the trans tunnel and bottom of the firewall, undercoating everything, and then applying some of this heat barrier from thermo-tec. Its real thin and lightweight. I got 2 24x48" sheets, and didn't need all of it. Claims it withstands 400* direct heat, and 2000* ambient. Anybody whos ever owned one of these shitboxes knows what its like on those super hot days. Along with the adhesive backing on this, I riveted it to the floor as well. For those of you who like data, I bought a infrared laser thermometer. On an 84* day, after about 20 minutes of driving home from work my floor was 104* by my feet, and my shift boot was 134*. This is with full interior and OEM sound deadening.

Somewhere in the mix, my block went to Travis' house and got torn down. We were pretty surprised at how everything looked for how bad it smoked and how bad my leakdown results were. So the block and head went to the machine shop. I got a call this morning saying that my cylinders were .002" out of round at the bottom/top and .006" out of round in the middle. So it needs .030" over to be safe. Will likely be getting .040" Wiseco pistons. Oh, and my exhaust valve guides are junk, so new ones will be getting pressed in. While i'm in there BC dual springs and retainers will be installed as well. Ouch.

Been out in the garage a bit on the days when I can get the garage to be atleast 40 degrees. Put my dash and 90% of my interior back in, wired in the silvia quarter louvers, wired in the proper connectors for the 50/50 markers. Pulled my crossmember out and painted it gloss black, and put in a re-manned rack from rock auto. Thursday I got all my stuff back from the machine shop. Ordered bearings and my buddy at Subimods accidentally pulled the trigger on the headgasket I think I'll need. If it measures up..i'll be ahead of the game. Definitely on track to have this shitbox ready for spring. I'll order up an ATI super damper soon.

The stuff is pretty sticky but there is no way that I was doing it without rivets. Maybe you could get away with extra spray adhesive, but I wasn't risking it.

I have been debating on the ceramic coating on my headers as the wrap is just so bulky for my tight clearance. Is there different stages of heat containment ? Also if you dont mind roughly how much did you pay? Very interested, looking good man.

Some places (mostly companies who produce such parts) offer a few different coatings but from what i've seen the average stuff seems to be good for 2,000 degrees.

Also, I used a company that my part time job goes through and it was $220 for both pieces. Which seems about average as I did quote it elsewhere.

So, after a week or so of slowly re-assembling everything. The first start was successful a few weeks ago. Had a few hiccups along the way, but managed to push through it all. The first time I was bleeding the coolant, after I shut the car off...my battery was dead. Alternator wasn't charging it. Long story short, a plug under the dash where my harnesss connects to my fuse box got unplugged (likely when I re-installed the dash). So that was an easy fix. A few days later, I noticed a massive puddle of coolant under the car. For whatever reason, one of my coolant lines for my turbo was leaking. I switched out the fitting with no avail, so I just replaced all the lines and fittings last weekend.

After doing some more coolant bleeding (lets just say after this I invested in a Lisle funnel kit) I decided I was going to change the oil as it had all the assembly lube in it, and take the car for the shake down drive. Change the oil and filter, start the car..0 oil pressure.

So this is where I'm at now.
https://i.imgur.com/KsqotaD.jpg

I pulled the filter off to confirm if it was the filter or not. No oil is going to the filter.
So I pulled the pan off. Figuring that since the pan was dented, if I un-dented it my results would change. Cleaned and inspected the pick up. Re-assembled everything, and still no oil pressure.

Pulled the pan off AGAIN, and this time with the front cover as well. Disassemble the pump, pick up, and cannot see anything visual. Drive to the dealer and order a new pick up (s13 is discontinued, so I purchased s14) a new oil pump cover, and a gasket for between the cover and the pick up.

While waiting for the parts to come in, I brought my cover and pick up to work and sat with our Level 3 to review the x-ray images. Can't see anything detremental except tons of porosity in the casting and some strange surface cracks.
https://i.imgur.com/6MSgAZH.jpg

Travis took the pump drive spacer from the crank for my KA coffee table and made me a tool to bench test the new setup with my drill.
https://i.imgur.com/X0W3BLi.jpg?1

Last night I got the rest of the parts from the dealer, and assembled my existing (rockauto) front timing cover with gears, and new OEM pump cover, gasket and pick up and stuck it in my oil drain pan.

Still did not pump oil.

I had already pulled my old cover out of the scrap pile. OEM cover, OEM Pump gears, Rock auto cover, used gasket/o-ring, and s13 pick up. And it fucking pumped oil. By this point, I could narrow it down to the front timing cover or the pump gears. I swapped out the pump gears after extensively cleaning them, and boom. Got the set up for my car to function properly and pump oil. I will be going to the dealer tomorrow to order brand new pump gears, as well as bringing the rock auto ones to work to x-ray and see if we can find anything.

Ordered pump gears. Put car back together. Pumped oil. Bingo.

A few days later I took the car for its shakedown run. Went about 2 miles down the road, car was getting warm. Sat in the parking lot for a bit then drove home to start bleeding coolant. On my way, the car just shut off. So I coasted into a parking lot about a half mile from my house. After checking fuel pressure, fuses, relays..decided it was time to call Travis up for a tow.

https://i.imgur.com/PZEuiuk.jpg?1
https://i.imgur.com/iZspiGt.jpg

We got home, pushed it into the garage. He pulled the oil cap off and we cranked the car..exhaust cam wasn't spinning. Pulled the valve cover off to find the exhaust cam bolt backed itself off enough for the sprocket to wiggle off. Pulled the head off that night to see 2 bent valves on cylinder #2. Over the next week it went to the machine shop, valves got replaced, lash got set and I had it home. While I was putting everything back on, one of the washer from my ARP headstuds fell in the front timing cover and got lodged under the timing chain and sprocket, which resulted in pulling the pan, and front cover to make the project a bit more fun.

Once the car was back together and a few shake down runs were done I spent some time polishing and sealing my paint which collected dust all winter.
https://i.imgur.com/ECh4zHj.jpg?1
https://i.imgur.com/ll2ia7O.jpg

I always found that everytime I had to remove the eyelet and wire from my speedhut coolant temp gauge, the sending unit never worked after that. Friend gave me the connector from a foxbody mustang, which just slips over the threads. Shouldn't have that issue again. Ended up re-wiring and tidying up my cluster wiring with a spare cluster subharness I had since I was unsatisifed with my results over the winter.
https://i.imgur.com/ouFf97D.jpg

At one point I was having issues again with my charging system. Turned out, my alternator had shit the best. Warrantied it and re-installed. Bought a sheet of black textured ABS plastic and a $5 amazon volts gauge and made a small piece to fit in the cluster surround. I'm not sure how long it will stay. Its nice to have a diagnostics tool, but it makes the car feel cluttered to me. I might just invest in one of the positive battery terminals that displays voltage.
https://i.imgur.com/CRxp9J2.jpg

Two fridays ago I was driving home from work and noticed my defi gauges shut off. Then my radio..then my wideband started doing weird shit. As I pushed in the clutch to go into a parking lot the car died. Who would've guessed...more charging system issues.
https://i.imgur.com/6zVdvvY.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/OU1nMGy.jpg

When I got the car home and started to test the alternator, when I reached in the positive wire from my lower harness to my alternator fried itself off the connector. After pulling down my lower harness, when I extended the alternator power and ground I used two metal screw in type connectors and wrapped them in electrical tape. For whatever reason, it worked for 3 years and now the electrical tape moved and caused them to arc on eachother. Luckily it burnt the eyelet connector before it hit the fusebox or caught on fire. I had a different connector from over the winter, staggered my connections and shrink wrapped over them so this problem can't ever occur again.

Its been a summer of headaches for sure. But I have about 1100 miles on the car and couldn't be happier. Still chasing a weird ignition issue over 15PSI though. 4 brand new coil packs didn't fix it either. Whatever. Homeboy from GRAVECO scooped a cool picture of Travis and I chillin which doesn't feature his outlaw, for once.

Was having some issues rubbing up front, like, rubbed through the lip of the fender and put a small crack in the outside of the fender. It was time to raise the car, so I raised it about 9MM up front, and 12MM in the rear. While I was in there, I installed my gktech grip knuckles that have been sitting on the shelf since this winter. I got an alignment this morning, and overall the car feels really good, much more responsive. However, With the geometry correction obviously the wheels don't camber in as much during suspension compression, which kind've sucks and now I have to run about 4.5* of camber up front to make the wheels fit. Oh well.

Not much happened this year. Early in the spring we put a muffler by the diff, as I get older im over the super loud car. I wish it was still a bit quieter, but its much, much better. With the sunroof and windows closed, its almost as quiet as the average stock car. Unfortunately, I have no photos of it.

One of the next comfort mods I did was switch from a solid AVID trans mount to a generic poly trans mount. For $10, well worth the investment. Quieted things down a bit and I couldn't be happier

A few weeks ago on my way to work, I lost my brakes. Pedal was super stiff, and I had assumed that the booster had gone out. Sourced one locally from Jesse from Drift Faction. Brought it to work, blasted it, painted it, and baked it in our FPI dryer, brought it home and installed it. Brakes have been fine ever since. Luckily, going to work early in the morning I didn't have a risk of hitting anything or anyone, but I did have to limp it home using only the e-brake.

Not much for an update. Sometime last year I put on a Radium Fuel rail to replace the OBX rail. This winter I was browsing facebook and saw an Xcessive intake manifold to replace the Godspeed intake manifold, and I jumped on it.
https://i.imgur.com/MVNG7lY.jpg?1

It looked a bit cleaner in the pictures, but after a little research, a brass wire brush and some WD-40 cleaned up the cast aluminum pretty well.
https://i.imgur.com/Eaq9618.jpg?2

I ordered some of the cast velocity stacks from Xcessive as well. I'll never know if they provided any gains, as I have 0 comparison data (which is fine with me) but I figured they are a proven "Help" in almost every application, so why not. Everything went over to Travis and he welded them in. Now, before anybody asks. Yes, I'm aware Xcessive offers a molded velocity stack plate that sandwiches in between the plenum and the runners. I couldn't stand the fact the black line in between. It drove me nuts. It drives me nuts people use Red / Black RTV to seal these manifolds. CLEAR RTV EXISTS FOR A REASON.

My engine harness has always bothered me. It was never a big deal because you basically can't see it, and all the real ugly shit was hidden under the carpet. Truth be told, it bothered the fuck out of me. I always had modded stock ones, at one point I had a semi gutted/modded/re-wrapped stock harness which made me a feel a touch better, but I swapped back to an OEM one I modded (have to wire in LS coils, AEM IAT/MAP to every harness for my set up), but I knew I was finally ready to fully commit to this project. After spending some money with wiring specialties, I acquired another virgin KA harness and began the project. EVERYTHING I don't use is removed from this harness. It was shortened right about 3 feet and just about every connector was replaced. Having finished this project, If I did it again, I would do it slightly differently, but im very happy with the results. Also, to make life easier, I added an additional 6 pin connector by the connectors for the fusebox to plug in things that stay in the car (That I would previously have to depin every time I took the harness out, which wasn't often but still annoying) So I have the power/1 ground for my coilpacks, the fan trigger wire, and the wire from the wideband to the standalone, and 2 open pins If I ever need anything in the future.

Last night we got the first big snow fall of the year, which means the 240 is officially away for the season. I clocked 11,650 miles (exactly) this year and couldn't be happier. For the most part, the car was really good.

My old downpipe never fit as nicely as I wanted it to, as it was originally made for a different manifold and turbo set up. Bought a bunch of stainless stuff, and Travis welded it all together. It seems like everytime I do aggressive burnouts it would kill a brake booster. Hopefully moving it away from the booster and switching to a skinny S14 booster will help. With the v-band in the middle, its incredibly easy to assemble and disassemble.

Once the cooler weather hit, I wanted to change my thermostat. I had a Mishimoto "race" thermostat which opened at like, 155* if I recall correctly. I wanted an OEM temp which I believe is 175 so my heat actually worked well all the time. When I removed the thermostat housing I was surprised with what I saw. I imagine the malfunctioning thermostat played a large part in why the car never built temp when I was below 60 or so degrees. Replaced it with a Gates unit from Rock Auto.

https://i.imgur.com/IUAg8ii.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/K9KRi4C.jpg

My old bash bar sat weird, as a ton of adjustments have been made to the car since it was originally made, so Travis set me up with a new one. Much better fit and finish

https://i.imgur.com/zCuq2M0.jpg

When the weather got cold, the car started acting up and left me stranded twice. I believe the distributor was going out, so I replaced it after getting rescued and have since acquired another spare.

Thanks for the kind words. People don't understand that fall is really only ACTUALLY awesome looking in certain areas of New England for like 2 weeks a year. This year was an exception.

I got the seats from a seller a few friends got me in touch with via instagram (as I don't have instagram). I can't actually remember the persons user name but if I did, I would not recommend them. I paid a premium (that I was okay with) based on the seats being MINT. I would not call them mint by any means. Maybe an 7 or 8 out of 10, and they fucking reeked like cigarettes. I was given a few excuses and was told its common parts from Japan smell like smoke, as its really common in that area of the world to heavily smoke, which, in my opinion is bullshit. Its someone from CT who has a connection in Japan and gets stuff sent over. I just left it alone because it wasn't worth the time. Overall i'm happy with the look of the seats in my car.

For the past few years, some stuff about the front end of the car has bothered me, along with rock chips and such. I finally bit the bullet and had it repainted. To make a long story short, I had a phone number saved from 2013 for a guy selling a Berhman / Wise square front bumper brand new. I hit him up this past summer and he still had it brand new in the box, so I went and scooped that up. I had gotten a smoking deal on a front 4 piston Rotora big brake kit through the homies over at Subimods, so I couldn't pass that up. I ordered the calipers in black, but you know I wasn't going to let that happen.

My painter called me and said the car was finished, so we scheduled a day to pick it up. Still being plagued with an intermittent spark issue I thought was fixed, we went and grabbed it with my F150 and a trailer. I was super pumped. The Berhman bumper is slightly more aggressive than the aero bumper, and its something I didn't know the car needed. I don't think i'll ever go back to the aero bumper after having this mounted on the car.

On our way home, going through an intersection at about 45MPH, a lady decided to drive between my truck and the trailer while she was at a blinking red light. I'm unsure what her thought process was, as I made it a point to let the cops handle it. Too old to be telling people i'll kill them, ha. My truck and 240 are "fine" aside from the fresh paint being covered in coolant and misc small car parts from the impact, her car on the other hand was not. And my buddies trailer is fucked. Honestly, this was the best worst case scenario.

By the time the car got home, I was so irritated I just pushed it in the garage and decided to work on the intermittent spark issue in the morning.
https://i.imgur.com/tduyd6u.jpg

Morning came, and I was out in the garage. Travis came by and we started to just wiggle all wires that have to do with spark. Wiring for the coilpack relay, wiring for the coils themselves, and finally the car had spark randomly. We decided to run the car, and try to see if we could get it to lose spark. About 10 seconds into it running, I noticed it had no oil pressure and shut it off. I noticed the pan was dented pretty bad in the sump area, so I pulled it off, banged the dents out and still no oil pressure. Having been down this road before, I ordered a whole new front cover from rockauto, and OEM pump gears / cover / relief valve. I also ordered a new pick up, but the old one was fine.

I brought the whole cover to work prior to taking it apart and x-rayed it to see if the relief valve was stuck open, and it was not. I however believe the pressure relief valve failed and was stuck open. it was oddly scored when I removed and inspected everything which is slightly concerning. I don't think my first 2 were shimmed, and relief valves come with shims. This one is shimmed now, so we will see what happens.

As it turns out, the intermittent spark issue that left me stranded twice was just a shitty crimp at a connector I used when I build my harness. Irritating, but its nobodies fault but my own. Once the car was running, I installed the Rotora big brake kit. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Its hard to explain the difference between these and my Z32 front brakes, but these just feel more predictable. They feel firmer, more planted, but not stiffer. It seems as though they take less energy to work better (I assume the larger surface area of the pad plays the biggest part in this)

Powersteering pump has been whining for a few years. Finally decided to replace it with a remanned unit...can't imagine why it whined.

I also noticed I had a bad front passenger side ball joint. So I ordered new control arms and had my buddy press in S14 balljoints, since I run S14 knuckles.

Yesterday I finally installed my matching rear Suspension Techniques sway bar. Pretty simple. Fits nice and comes with bushings and endlinks.

Aside from that, i've just been driving it as much as possible. I think I have 1,700 miles on it so far. I won't name names but, one of my friends bought a dyno, and theres a pretty good chance this thing will actually get a dyno tune this year.

Awesome update

Always wondered if we have the same color code on our cars, do you remember what color it is? Is an OEM Nissan??

Holy close call batman with that Subaru! Glad everything is okay!

Man it's satisfying doing your own wiring, but going back and finding mistakes is never fun. Been there plenty of times.

Typical Leakimoto quality in that thermostat! I had one in my RB and while it didn't fail, it would never allow the thing to get to any kind of operating temp hah.

Good stuff as always man, looking forward to seeing what this thing makes. Quite a few products you can use to protect your booster, from tapes to hard shields. It never hurts to add double layer heat protection!

Believe it or not, thats a Hyundai Kona. And definitely frustrating mistakes, especially when they leave you on the side of the road. If I built another harness, I'd do it slightly differently, but overall i'm happy. And if thats the only issue I run into, It's a win in my book.

I SAID I WASN'T NAMING NAMES...haha.
I assume it was JP who bought the intake manifold. He's wild with those SR set ups, thats for sure.

Nah. It wasn't JP. But been chatting with him before he went "all in" on the machine shop gig and is now nuts deep in SR builds

Its another guy who works for WS it seems. Has a white S13, SR, big turbo, drifter.

Car went on Jimmys dyno. I was a nervous wreck, but overall, I couldn't be happier. I personally think this dyno reads high, but what do I actually know. The car never went on a dyno because I don't care about numbers. its always been about how the car feels, and overall effeciency. This set up has to be really close to pushing the limits of 93 octane pump gas. The car was starting to lean out up top, and after some discussions we decided to pull the guts out of the cheap $20 fuel filter I put in it 7 years ago and the lean spot went away. Travis had this issue with his 2J, and I just never did anything about it because my set up always worked. So, I have a proper aeromotive 10 micron filter on the way. I am extremely lucky to have Jimmy as a friend, and that he wanted to spend his time with my car.

Numbers look right to me, and 300lb-ft of torque before 4000rpm is always good!
