ebay had some abs plastic ones. maybe they still do. pretty cheap too, like 100 bucks or something
There are so many choices of gt style wings, that i'm confused. they all look the same almost but the price differences are crazy.
what about this one?

That wing is God Awfull. Please Try Again! :rl:
From the description you can see the rotora one is dry carbon, I can guarantee that the cheapo arospeed one isn't. Still wouldn't put either on a daily driven car though. :)

you need a much wilder wing for a pink car. or even if you paint it, cuz you'll have flares and uber wide wheels and who knows what else by that time. no way a wing that conservative would work.

I think Rotora and C-west actually do wind tunnel testing and actually have fuctional wings. Hundreds of hours of testing into the design design costs money. Its kinda like saying that ebay coilovers are the same as a 2400 coilover. There is time and money spent on the Coefficient of drag, maximum stability, and downforce. Things that a 2000 wing or aerofoil do a lot better than a look good APC wing. Its like saying a ABS plastic toy will fly as good as a F18.
If you want it to look good get APC if you want little drag and a lot of downforce while also keeping the car stable at high speed and not dragging off speed with angle of attack get the Rotora or C-west.

What do you think of this one?
http://129.33.208.36/L8044705.jpg
I have bought it from NOPI for my car but right now I am trying to save up some money for coil over so I could let it for $200.00 plus shipping if you want it. You could check NOPI sell them for $405.13, the wing is high quality, very light weight and it is carbon fiber as you could see on the picture. Else I could never have bought it my self.
how many inches tall are the legs?
JDM K's

8" tall which will seat a little lower then the one on S2000.

I hope the GT style wings you guys are putting on are wider than the car, and you have nice aero to offset the look. Stock body no aero, little wheels look like crap-o-la with a tall GT wing. It's even worse when the wing is not wide enough and looks like a pony-tail on the back of the car.
pony-tail on a pink car...hmmmmmm

all those GT wings look the same, the only difference? how far apart you wish to put the legs at.
that's what i've been trying to figure out. looks-wise there are variations in the deck, either straight or wavey. Then there are variations in the shape of the ends(like triangle/below above or even with the deck, variations in the looks/height/width of the legs, and overall material. i guess that's all there is to it. That being said..on to google to look for that top secret wing. i bet it's close to a grand though.

are you buying this type of wing for LOOKS or for actual use? i HIGHLY doubt you will be dragging fast enough for the wing to actually come into play. if you drift, your going sideways the wing does nothing. so im assuming your getting it for looks.
since your getting it for looks, no point in getting an expensive one from top secret, cwest etcetc, get the jspec one paint it and your done
unless you brand name, get the top secret cwest rotora etc etc
the only reason these wings are on the cars? its a company car, they will put all their parts on it to get it out in the world.

i dunno man... the previous owner had a spoiler on the 240 of myt car.. when i took it off.. i noticed that the rear hatch.. had been pushed in... so there must be some sort of downforce going on.. oh yeah just in case bro.. reinforce the trunk =)
I never thought about that josh..thanks for the heads up. The spoiler prolly weight over 20 pounds itself, then add a few hundred pound of downforce and you could end up with some dents
Andrew Bohan

could have been downforce. or it could have been drag. drag can crack paint and move a trunk or hatch.

that wing is only 53 inches, the jspec one is 61. seems like a very big difference.
do you want a carbon wing for the weight savings, or just for the looks? if it was looks you could just cover the fiberglass wing in carbon fiber.
