View Full Version : Leaky Turbo Line
k, so i jsut got the manifold back on after putting on a new turbo outlet, and i had to re-connect the turbo lines. All of them are ok EXCEPT for the one that i think feeds the turbo...it is leaking at the connection to the block! I disconnected it and put a new copper gasket in, and tightened it down, and that worked for a day or 2...but now it's leaking again. Can anyone help me resolve this? i must be doing somethign wrong

buy a new line...
the line dosent seem to be broken though, that's the thing! last i saw, the line was 100% fine...i dont have access to a lift so i cant really get position like i'd like to have...but i'm gonna take another shot at it tomorrow, i think what i'll do is take it apart and maybe use a wire brush at the sealing point to clean it up a little and then wipe it off clean so maybe it can maek a better seal...is there any other type of gasket i could use to prevent it from leaking?
before i "fixed" it, it was leaking maybe 1/2 cup in 5 minutes...now it drips maybe 5 times in 5 minutes...so it's a drastic improvement, but still not completely fixed

could be a clogged line making higher pressure occur
hmm...well a stupid ass error on my part was just brought to my attention...seems that i didnt think to torque them down to the right specs and may have over/undertightened it...i'll have to re-do that tomorrow some time during the day and see how that goes...i'm starting to think i should just use some gasket sealer aroudn the edges a lil...couldnt hurt could it?
