Q45 brakes on s13

Doing this conversersion Just finished puttting the bracket & caliper on the passenger side front but the little Q piece on the end of the brake line doesn't go between the groves on the back of the Q45 caliper to sit flush...my question is does the brake line bolt suppose to have a gap or am I doing something wrong if anyone can help thanks in advance

Q45 brakes use the stock banjo brake lines, so the banjo bolt should go through the line fitting and have crush washers on each side.

When I did my Q45 brake swap I upgraded to steel braided lines on all four corners.
