I bought a s14 with a s14 sr in it. Mods are fmic, bov blowing to atmosphere, exhaust, isr fpr, isr z32 maf upgraded fuel rail, apexi neo.
When letting the car warm up or sit at idle for a little bit it seems to go into limp mode if im correct. It will hold idle just below 1500 and bounce between 1200-1500, eventually settling down. After that it wont rev past 1500. If i turn car off and wait about 10 seconds then restart its fine but will go back to ot after sitting.
Car drives fine if I dont let it idle for to long. When Im at a light or stop, I hold the idle around 2k to prevent it from going into what seems to be limp mode.
Previous owner had the timing advanced so i reset it according to frsports how to set cam angle timing.
I checked the wiring for the maf and voltage and it reads fine. I even cleaned the maf. I unplugged the maf while running car and doesnt make any difference. I unplugged the tps and no difference.
Anyone have any advice or could lead me in the right direction. Ive searched and see threads of the coolant temp sensor or bad cas. I have a coolent temp sensor on the way. Any help would be appreciated
