Hello all,
Long time lurker, infrequent poster. I'm selling my 2005 Maserati Quattroporte that I've owned for two years and have used as a daily driver for most of that time.
The good:
Car is in good shape overall and drives well with 76K miles and clean title. These cars are known for their archaic "F-1" transmissions and short clutch life so beware of that even though it has given me no issues. I put the oem 20's from the Sport GT on it, lowered it with stock coilovers and gutted the mufflers to make it sound more like a Ferrari the engine is borrowed from.
The bad:
- I tapped someone at a stop sign when there was some ice on the road last winter and broke the drivers side headlight lens. I replaced the entire headlight assembly with a used unit from a friend that had previously worked on his car. After installing the headlight everything works except the hid low beam. There are also some scratches under the headlight because I did not replace or repaint the bumper.
- The abs/traction control lights come on after about 5 minutes of driving the car. If you turn the car off and on they will stay off for the rest of the day as long as the car doesn't completely cool down. I've read that his could be a bad strut, old battery or a sensor. Since I get a different answer everywhere I ask I haven't done anything about this.
I am asking $15K and will consider trade offers for LS swapped cars and can add cash on my end.
Thanks,
Steve
