i've only driven my car a few times since its been put together, well today took it out for a little ride, needless to say a friend with an 02 E46 SMG was with me.. at the end of the day decided to go at it at the light.. both had a bad start.. at least i did.. it bogged when as i didnt ride the clutch right.. 1st gear half a car, second.. he came up a little about a fender, 3rd again leading by half a car.. beginning of 4th gear same half a car then shut it down as we approached traffic a little too fast. As i have mentioed its an 02 E46 SMG, in mode 6 sport. Wow.. i'm amazed with my little one right now, i dont even want to go into how well it ripped around the malibu.. she looks soo good right now :hitit: hahahahaha.. i just had to share a story with someone.. l8r!

For some reason I read that as it was wrecked or totalled or something. I didn't even interpret the smiley. That's VERY impressive! What kind of mods do you have?

trust me i have been doubting this car for a while.. afterall i can count number of time i had drive it on my ten fingers! But anyways, the car always felt decent and very smooth.. running like a citizen watch lol.. prolly as i ride daily so anything you sit into is not just impressive, i'll always say its okay.. nothing extra.. but i'm soo glad she ripped well today.. i've driven this M3 myself and it hauls ass.. shifting cannot be easier, smoother and more accurate its like driving an F1 shifting on the steering wheel.. i'm sure he would have smoked me past the 1/4 distance or top speed or even on the fwy.. rolling start of anything over 80 as the little puny t25 just cannot breate any faster. Btw, the car has what i would estimate roughly 230ish whp bascically bone stock, minor bolt ons, fuel pump, FMIC, exhaust, dp, boost set at .8bar.. just not efficent past that point (dynoed last time at 215whp with stock mount) car is gutten though to the last bolt, yet i'm still sporting power sunroof, mirrors, windows, digital dash, powersteering, NO LSD! hahaha felt so fuggin good today i cannot describe it. Either way just imagine the potential of dumping say another 7K for a nice heart upgrade and afew more suspension goodies.. bottom lime i'm just glad this project was success even though i've been thinking of selling it for past 2 months, (about the apply for welfare) but i may just keep it..

of course! I'm not doubting the 3 in any way.. i'm actually thinking of going deeper into debt and selling everything i have to buy a used one.. i full agree with bmw commercial it is the ultimate driving machine versus my get this.. in december a 16 year old antique! hahahaha.. but thats okay.. still feels good.. and trust me this post is not about me raggin on bmw or any other car thinking nissan is superior.. this is my 16th car so far.. so quite frankly there is hardly anything that will amuse me out there speed wise unless its an exotic which of course i cannot afford but it was a fun race and good to see what you can do with practically bone stock 240 and a red top :rawk:

i agree thats why i was iffy if i should post or not but couldnt resist.. just to let you guys know it was on an open clear and wide stretch of road with no side streets and it was a friendly race between two best friends.. we both had a blast, and i think i came home happier! hehehe :hyper: :hsdance:
Just to add my other good friend that is also friends with the guy with that red E46, has a graphite '03 w/few mods, software, full exhaust, cats, intake etc.. putting around 315'ish to the wheel now is eager to run.. hate to be doing this but little nismo may undergo few little minor bolt ons this week to free up the last few ponies on the mini t25 and take this bad boy down. Then i can be a happy camper :aw:
both imola red rides are hot!

First pic, thanks for the new desktop. I was feeling a bit down about not getting started on my winter project, but now I can go to bed feeling happy seeing that hot red car on a sunny day. :fruit: Thanks for sharing!

damn! that red looks nice with the coupe.
phuck the E46... thats awesome that you beat it.
i have a similar set up but i'd be amazed if i could pull it off...
i am a BMW guy for sure, but i would take an E30 M3 over the E46 every day of the week..

Thats awsome man. I just had the same experience the other day with my friends 95 M3 with a chip, intake, and exhaust. I was amazed at how close we were.

tks for the replies guys, yes the entire car was painted imola red, mine came out a tad brighter then it should have but ohh well.. i still like it. The windows were removed, floors painted, under the dash, etc.. i think next week we might hit up stunt again hehehe. It cost close to 3K but the car was already gutted and all interior prepped inside by me. The wheels are 16" Riken Mesh with +6offset. Hope this helps.. i can prolly dig up some nicer pics but gotta find them first.. I just love the fact of how the car handles, performs (engine wise), looks, and its practically stock, reliable prolly as any other normal car out there..

the e46 driver is very good.. but besides that.. SMG E46 drives itself.. i dont know if you have ever driven one.. there is simply no way you can fukk up it shifts to perfection on the tap of the steering wheel.. insane! I'm actually very much thinking of buying one besides of what happened over the weekend hehehehe... all around its an amazing car! But then again.. nismo owned it! hahaaha wish i had gotten this one tape..

You painted the car! Snazzzzzy :D. You should come up to the thursday meet again. Not as rowdy as it was the last time you were there. Mostly S13/14/AE86 now.

which is not only more cost-effective, but also more reliable. so, whats your point? not taking this comment to heart or anything, but the reality here is that i own my old s13 because i like it, not because i cant have something else. i drove a Z33 for over 1 week and couldnt wait to get behind the wheel of my car again, i wouldnt exactly describe that as being "stuck" with my car. there are VERY few cars that i would want over my current car. and this is with my car fully stripped, imagine when its all done.
i'm actually thinking of going deeper into debt and selling everything i have to buy a used one.. i full agree with bmw commercial it is the ultimate driving machine versus my get this.. in december a 16 year old antique! hahahaha.. but thats okay.. still feels good.. and trust me this post is not about me raggin on bmw or any other car thinking nissan is superior.. this is my 16th car so far.. so quite frankly there is hardly anything that will amuse me out there speed wise unless its an exotic which of course i cannot afford but it was a fun race and good to see what you can do with practically bone stock 240 and a red top
you sound indecisive.

and NO car drives itself.

tks on the car, and actually this same nick is what i've had on honda tech for years now.. my name is not chad though.. and yes i've had a few hybrid civic's in the past.. but that was way back in 99 early '00..
Nice run! I've never gone up on a E46 M3 before but the older E36s are easy passes with a relatively stock SR motor... This is my experience on the straights on a road course so no one is really holding back. Cornering is another thing though. The M3s come pretty well equipped stock, kick ass with grippy rubber and they use really wide tires when modified. The 240SX can keep up no doubt but would need more modifications.
As for preference... I'd drive my 240SX over a E46 M3 any day. It's a lot more fun to drive. :)

Sweet run! The M3 got :Owned:. Not saying that they're slow, because they're definitely not. It's just that they weren't meant for bench racing. 333HP 3.2L I-6.. mmm I'll take one.:eek3: Although it's the 3400lbs curb weight that kills it. Oh well, you can't have it all. Congrats, once again.

idiots use 2 lanes, smart people stay in their lane and know how to follow a good (and safe) line.. especially since we're talking STREET driving.
its not about being scared, its about being smart.

agreed, you don't know how many people that don't know their limits and act stupid have gone off stunt rd.
