Hey guys, I have been getting a PO136 code which points to the rear o2 sensor. Problem is, I've had the harness/pigtail repaired at Nissan and replaced the actual o2 sensor with a new one.

The code has come back, and I'm wondering if there is anything else that can trigger a P0136 code? I know its highly unlikely, but could a bad catalytic converter in some odd way lead to that code too? I'm lost at this point.

Thank you guys in advance.

bad catalytic converter would trigger a P0420

check resitance and continuity from the signal wire. to make sure signal is being provided all the way to the ECU. after that the only thing to check for is that the power ground and signal are there and on the correct pins. if all that points correctly check the ECU for a burn trace and signal via the OBD monitor.

po136 indicates that the rear o2 sensor is reading very similar to the front o2 sensor, aka your cat isn't working.

I'll check the continuity on it, I just have to wait to use my brother's jacks because I don't have any :-/ but I'd imagine it should be in spec since I had it rewired though.

If the cat isn't working how would it not throw the p0420 code that Juan mentioned?
