Hello and thank you for opening this thread
So I have an S14 sr that needed a new exhaust housing because im stupid
I took a bunch of photos and made marks but stuff didnt line up and im wondering how this is possible since it doesnt look like it was moved at all but it has shifted
-So I broke off a stud in my old housing and there are only 5 bolts
-drilling and retapping messed it up more
-I bought a blown turbo for its exhaust housing
-both are the exact same housing
-I couldnt take the exhaust housing off my good one
-gave it to a shop to take it off
-Apparently I didnt put enough "man" on it and he got it done before I could make the 10 minute drive home
-You see that the CHRA has shifted
-He says I have to take off the inlet side to realign it
-pics
Before dissassembly
Cold side left and hot side right
Notice the wastegate bracket location relative to the oil drain

This morning me trying to reattach

Now what it looks like is that the oil feed comes from top and drains vertically, with the coolant entering and leaving horizontally in the oem configuration
Now it look like the lines have shifted
Is there any way I can rotate the CHRA without basically rebuilding the entire turbo?
Can I just loosen the nuts/bolts a little on the compressor side and rotate it from the middle?
