Hi there,

Do you guys have any Flywheel/Clutch recommendation for a 2003 350z thats going to be used for drifting? Not daily driven.

No engine mods, welded diff. Suspension is ok.

If I´m not mistaken a lightened flywheel would help me since my tranny is not a CD009.

I tried to send an email to JWT asking for a reco but its email is not working.
I heard I can go with Fidanza/Exedy (or ACT) or just a JWT kit.

Thanks.

Rod.

the ACT prolite is way less, and lighter than the exedy! 13.2 lbs

z1 carries lots of 350z clutch kits, and does installs too. you may wanna email them to see if they have a recommendation

You could debate on wether or not a lighter flywheel is better for drifting or not. Lighter will rev up faster when you clutch kick. But the heavier one will have more force behind it and the rpms won't drop as quick when you clutch kick. So kind of hard to choose what's best lol.

Totally agree with you, some will prefer a lighter and some not.
I did not clutch kit very often but I used to drift another car.
It was an turbo E36, after two year I had to buy a ZF tranny because the Getrag was gone.

The Z has more than 150k miles on the odometer so I´m a bit concerned about the transmission. I hope it last for one year before I buy a CD009.

I definitely need an stronger clutch for my car but I´d like to do something that make the transmission last longer.
