Well this past weekend i had my new clutch installed and new oem slave and master cylinder. It was supposed to be a quick install in and out sort of deal but ended up running into major problems. First off after all was done and finished we turned my car on and it was cool but I could not put my car into gear. Could not go into first or second. Before all this let me remind all of you that i being the idiot that i am beat the crap out of this transmission for 5 years and have not got it serviced with new oil or anything so it was a surprise what might come about. So when we drained it to begin install of the clutch shards of metal came out. Not a good sign. And back to where i was at so the car did not go into gear or reverse. Before hand when we were installing the clutch, the pressure plate didn't line up correctly with the flywheel. Since we didnt have an extra one on hand we open the holes a bit with a drill and made it fit. Tried it and that was a problem so we took anothe pressure plate from a s13 clutch kit but its working but not that great. Problem one. Then number two was that i had very little pressure from my clutch pedal. Another punch in the face. Another problem was that it took us forever to bleed the master cylinder since we didnt have a speed bleeder but its still pretty soft. Is this commomn with new master cylinders? or is there still air in the cylinder? So we came to the conclusion the transmission was fucked up since every time it was drain shards of metal was stuck to the plug not to mention dropping out. So we located one from a junk yard since it was a asap sort of deal.

Putting that back in and thinking that fixed the problem, well it sort of did since i can shift into gear but goddaim its soooo hard to put into gear. I can drive the car but its hard trying to even get it to gear. As from the clutch pedal its soft but still engages the clutch. From what we know we think its the pressure plate since its still of not the right kind.

My questions are for everyone are these -
1.We bled the clutch pedal so many times, is the clutch pedal supposed to feel that soft with a new clutch? Can the clutch pedal be the culprit of the bad engagement and the bad shifting?
2. Is it the pressure plate since its not of the right kind? The clutch does grab and i know there is a break in period but is that the problem? If i buy a stock pressure plate would that work with the clutch i have now?

If you guys could help me out that would be a big help. My car is pretty much out of commission until i can get this shit fixed but if you can help me out with answers i would appriciate it.
