Hello my sr20 is running rough. It always sputtered/ slight misfire at idle very 30 seconds or so. It doesn't misfire when revving then missfires like all hell at higher Rpms. I've replaced the coil packs, igniter chip, coil pack harness, and crank angle sensor. I have a KA ecu remapped for a dual overhead cam KA maf. I changed out the maf to a z32 and now it won't hit boost and goes into limp mode when revved up. I know it's obviously something to do with the ecu but it always sputtered at idle. Any ideas on how I can solve this?

retune for different maf...

You answered your problem, in your post... KA ECU with an SR... C'mon bruh, get the proper ecu and maybe check your spark plug gap and you'll be smooth sailing. Oh don't forget that stock MAF too, you're not tuned for a z32 MAF.

Yes I know I don't mean to sound like an idiot even though I've already seemed to accomplish that lol. But the thing is I have a sr ecu and it won't even start the damn thing. I was looking into it and with the sr ecu it doesn't produce spark so obviously it won't start it. Do you think that ecu could be fried? If so anyone have one for sale. I paid 100 for the last one and the guy said it worked for his car but clearly something went wrong to cause it not to produce spark. Thanks

Your KA ECU would not run an SR.
They do not have trigger outputs for the coil packs.
I think you have your ecu's backwards

You can't just change MAF sensors like stock and z32

Sorry came out wrong. Car starts and runs with KA ecu but not SR.

Previous owner sent it out to be remapped for the sr. I'm not sure why he did that but he did.

I can post a pic of the KA ecu. I'm just not sure why the KA will start it and not the SR.

I asked you to do that in your other post. And also gave you clear to follow(at least what I thought) instructions to remedy your issue.

hook up the ecu to the car, get a copy of nistune or nds download the bin/tune upload the tune somewhere share the file.
Open the ecu and take pictures front and back post pictures.
buy the stock mafs for your engine, and ecu, install ecu.
leave it alone if its working correctly.
yes you can install a daughter-board, you should still buy the correct parts for your engine.:2f2f:

That last part means, if your engine, and sensors are stock! If your engine is a DE and not Det. Then how are we supposed to know? I don't even think you know what's in your car, let alone how to fix it. Post pictures and or video with the camera shooting horizontal.(engine bay, ecu, harness etc.)

If you happen to have a ka ecu running an sr? It's probably a ka ecu cover. That's why I said leave it alone, you really have no clue as to what you have, or what you are doing.

You really need to follow one person or be thorough with everyone's suggestions. Good luck![emoji41]

You can remap an SR ecu to run a KA, but not a KA ecu to run an SR.

So you have an SR.. running on a KA ecu.. tuned for an SR running a DOHC KA maf (1, a KA ecu shouldn't work in the first place. 2, why would you ever run a DOHC KA maf with an SR).. but you're actually using a z32 maf? And you wonder why this clusterfuck doesn't run right?

Get a stock SR maf and a stock SR ecu then drive the car. It wouldn't surprise me if your wire harness has been hacked to hell too.
