RHD is over priced. I paid way less for my Omori bar straight from omori lol. I believe nismo intercooler was 2000 brand new anyways. These are very hard to find in brand new shape. And by very hard to find I mean non existent lol. If I didn't already have one, I would buy this one.

I have seen ONE (new or used) nismo intercooler in the last two years. I own it lol. Used go for about 600. Depending on condition obviously. But I have the old school style. With solid red O. This is new school "O" which I thought was r34 only. I could be wrong.

Either way, nismo intercoolers are made by ARC. This is direct bolt on replacement with stock intercooler piping. Fits like a glove. Trimming is needed on stock bumper/support bar because you're twice as thick now. Very good intercooler. WAAAAY lighter than stock intercooler. Any GTR owner interested look at my build thread, think I have before and after shots of stock and nismo while mounting.

Very rare piece. This would be for the collector or GTR enthusiast. Changes look of stock car so much. Looks rad. Stock GTR intercooler is good for 600 hp.....nismo one will take you well beyond that. They are big.

Funny you should say that... That IS an hks core.

Two companies provided intercooler cores for nismo. ARC, and HKS(like that one).

Just like if you look at the diff cooler that is for sale a few threads down for an r32 from ARC. well the pump(#200something), the expensive part of the kit, is an OEM Nissan z31 transmission cooler.

You are literally paying for the name here(I have a HUGE nismo fetish myself), and a great quality hks core. MOST high end companies(ARC, NISMO, HKS, ect...) use oem technology or parts that are rebranded.

Still an awesome part, and if I had a gtr I'd prob buy it... But this is a re branded hks core.

Note the price of the HKS(nismo catalog) and now note the price of the HKS gt (what you have). The HKS is higher, by several hundred. Also look at the size of the intercoolers.

I have ARC intercooler and a Nismo inercooler. But mine is old style logo. Wonder if mine is ARC or HKS. Now the original nismo intercooler for BNR32 is definitely ARC. But its a way smaller version of intercooler also. That mofo is rare as fuck. I remember that haggard one on the auctions for a while for a thousand lol. Then mine popped up like 2 weeks later and I was like get it now! Pretty sure I got my used one for like 650 before shipping. Came out nice after I refurbed it. Those are the only 2 nismo intercoolers I've seen since they have been discontinued. I remember they were on the auctions all damn day a few years back. I wanted to get one for the 240 but found a brand new s14 ARC one that was a display model. So it was new, but discounted. Couldn't pass that up. Any ways, i'm blabbing on.

You're missing the point. I'm not saying that Nismo is not as valuable as HKS or ARC.

I'm simply stating that the intercooler you have is an HKS core(still Nismo).

And secondly, most of this post was in reply to what bosshog stated about HKS and Nismo, and how if you can't afford Nismo go by HKS crap...

The fact is HKS IS more spendy than nismo. Oh and that your core was a HKS and not the ARC. The pic I posted of the ARC intercooler behind the white bumper, that is an ARC and prob a Nismo part.

Lol I was talking about todays prices. Not brand new and available times......and please show me where I said HKS was crap lol. Yes nismo has rebranded stuff everybody knows that lol. Their twin discs are made by Valeo. Still probably the best clutch you can buy for a street car (within its power means, which they have been known to handle more than they are rated). Ohlins, Willans, HKS, Fujitsubo, Valeo, yamaha, ARC to name a few.


Also, if you want to get real technical, the HKS units are bigger than what Nismo offers. So you are getting less "size" while paying close to the same price as the HKS. But you can get R type intercoolers all day for 1k. Pretty cheap. Like I said, If you don't want to pay nismo tax, just get a HKS.....or regualr ARC. Pretty easy to understand.
