you could compare the RSR to the RS3. RSRs are hands down the best tire for the money. obviously RS3 and RE71-R are better tires but when you factor in the price... Federal rsr is a crazy great deal.

that's the real test

While both amazing tires, re71rs are in another class as rs3's. They are faster then all the old 100tw nt01, r888 and even a7s. They don't call them hooserstones for no reason. But they are almost unstreatable they wear so quickly and get very hot on anything more then autocross courses

Rs3 is obviously an amazing tire too and I'm really counting on the new RS-rr to be up to par with them. As of right now, even the RSR were justified in being good enough when you compare the prices, especially in a 285/18. When my RSRs are done on the Z, a 275/35 is definitely in order. In the mean time, I'm gonna run a set of 205/50/15 rsrr over the new VR1 and hopefully they outshine my okish NT05s which really missed a beat on a stockish Miata anyway. 205 RSRs didn't miss a beat either.

I will most likely run 71Rs on my track set and still looking for a decent daily tire. Not that my Z is a daily but when I drive it once a week I'd rather not on my aggressive alignment and waste $1300 on tires

RS-RR is 1 second faster than RS-R


We've been hearing they are just as sticky or more as RS-3 but like heat 180* to 200*

Along with the stickiness,
they also have a stiffer sidewall than an RS3 and RS-R.
