Mileage- Unknown
The odometer stopped working at 120,158 miles. Based on what the previous owner told me and the limited amount I drove it, I'd estimate the chassis could have anywhere from 150,000 - 200,000 miles.
Engine
The engine is a notch-top SR20DET, and again, the mileage is unknown. When purchased, the previous owner estimated the motor had 50,000 - 60,000 miles on it, and I've driven no greater than 10,000 additional miles. Compression is 150 across the board. The ECU still runs a factory tune.
- Garrett GT28RS, purchased brand new in 2011
- Tomei turbo manifold
- Circuit Sports braided turbo lines
- New CX Racing front mount intercooler
- Authentic HKS SSQV blowoff valve (older generation)
- 3 inch turbo elbow and downpipe (downpipe made in Japan, unknown brand)
- Vibrant high flow catalytic converter
- Isis 3" cat-back blast pipes with 4" tips on Circuit Sports poly hangers
- New AEM cone filter
- New Walbro 255lph fuel pump and Z32 fuel filter
- No-name aluminum radiator
- Knockoff Greddy oil pan
- New OEM fan shroud (mildly modified to fit radiator)
- New OEM thermostat and housing
- Stupid pink valve cover
Exterior
- Single stage paint done in 2011
- Seibon carbon hood (clear coat fading in places)
- Sparco hood pins
- 3000K HID kit
- Headlights perfectly intact! :wan:
Although the paint certainly isn't show quality, it looks very nice in person. The exact shade of red is something from the Porsche catalogue, and it's nearly orange in direct sunlight. For the most part, the body is very straight, minus the headlights and front bumper (see pictures below).
Interior
- OEM S15 steering wheel
- Blitz BLM boost gauge (rare, discontinued and super cool)
- Aluminum shift knob and drift knob
Overall, the interior is very clean. The seats are in excellent shape, with the only blemishes being small stains on the driver's seat and a stain on the back seat. Carpet and floor mats are in good condition, although the passenger side front floor mat is missing.
Chassis
- Fortune Auto 500 coilovers (less than 500 miles since installation)
- Complete Isis suspension arm kit
- New Moog tie rod ends and lower ball joints
- Remanufactured steering rack with Energy polyurethane bushings
- New Energy polyurethane sway bar/end link bushings
Drivetrain
- Driveshaft Shop 1-piece aluminum driveshaft
- OEM S14 VLSD
- Isis short shifter
Wheels, Tires, and Brakes
- 5Zigen FNO1R-C wheels: 17x9 +15 front, 17x10 +12 rear
The wheels are in excellent shape. Original black finish and original center caps all around, and only minimal curb rash.
- Toyo Proxes FZ1 235/45 ZR17 fronts, new Fuzion ZR1 255/40 R17 rears
- New Q45 front calipers, rotors and pads
- OEM SE 5-lug conversion
Electronics
- New Wiring Specialties engine, transmission, and coilpack harnesses
- Odyssey PC925 battery, relocated to trunk (trunk has carpet, but was out for picture)
- Apex'i turbo timer
- New OEM O2 and coolant temp sensors
- Replacement OEM cam angle sensor
The Not So Good :naw:
The car has been in three accidents. The first had already happened before I bought the car. The core support was bent on the passenger side as a result, hence the derpy headlights and jank-spec headlight mounting I'm forced to employ. However, the headlights are still well secured.
The second accident occurred when I lost control of the car on a wet road in 2010. I hit the right rear wheel on a curb at about 35 MPH, bending the suspension arms and cracking the wheel lip. All components were replaced, and replaced again when I bought the Isis arm kit.
The third accident was purely cosmetic. The left rear quarter panel was hit while the car was parked on the street in 2011. The body shop used bondo on the underside of the panel, so it cannot be pulled to fit wide wheels. However, it is cosmetically perfect.
There is a fist-sized dent in the driver's side front fender from when I leaned on the car to install the Tomei manifold. It could be popped out quite easily.
The battery tray is slightly rusty, and an unnecessarily large hole was cut by a previous owner to fit their FMIC. :picardfp:
One bolt on the valve cover doesn't match the others. When removing the valve cover to install the new CAS, the front right stud snapped off inside the hole. I had to tap it to a larger size, but it does not leak whatsoever.
The car currently does not have AC, but the compressor and lines are all there. The AC dryer is currently off the car because it doesn't fit with the fan shroud in place. The shroud could easily be cut to fit the dryer. With a little effort, this car could very readily have AC again.
The dash has one long crack above the gauges, but is otherwise in stellar shape.
There are two screws in the roof from where a sunroof shroud used to be. They are watertight, but they look dumb. Simple fix at a body shop.
Overall, I've taken proper care of it. You get a clean interior and exterior, fresh wiring, good suspension, and a running SR20DET that's nearly ready to give you the joys of boost. I wouldn't sell the car if I weren't moving, so I hope it goes to a good home. If you need any more pictures or information, don't hesitate to ask.
