Got a comp clutch with PP that has A LOT of fingers. i do not want to downgrade my clutch if i dont have to.
would normally not care but it caused my clutch pedal assembly to collapse after prolonged use (i do not want to reweld. though i will be reinforcing the new pedal. i want all that extra stress off the clutch pedal completely)
how can i get a softer pedal? ive heard:
smaller master cylinder and/or larger slave cylinder
and what about a z32 master? can i use a z32 slave?
anyone ever tried the lsx master? i was thinking about trying that but havent found any definitive answers on this topic though im almost certain a smaller master will help since ive had 2 people mention this to me

You don't need a stiff ass clutch for basic Sr man

i already knew that. im looking for answers to my questions man
your input is of no use.
like did you even take any time to read my original post?
i dont mean to be pissy but i already kno if i switch to a stock setup ill get better pedal feel. i know my clutch is overkill but. I said i dont want to do that if i dont have to
what im really looking for is confirmation on my questions and new ideas to try and soften it up. you didnt even attempt to justify your lazy statement

Lol I did the ankle press for a bit when I had stiff clutch...I have an 86 rx7...maybe see if the master cylinder could bolt up or there will be welding or drilling! I just put the sr in mine for better reliability and keep the 50 50 balance...handles like a dream but fits a bit smaller than a s13...

i swear half the people on here just lurk and dont read. i had no problem with the stiffness. my clutch pedal collapsed and left me stranded. its a reliability thing.

are you running a stiff PPon the rx7?
i did recently find this
"I was just researching about the same subject myself just now. Im finding alot of confusing information.
I found out according to courtesy nissan they offer two different types of slave cylinder for 13, 89-90 240sx ran a 11/16 (17.46mm) slave cylinder, and 91-94 240sx and s14's all used 3/4 in slave cylinders, the same size as the 300zx slave cylinders. They all have the same 30602 part number... (wierd).
The 3/4 slave cylinders are a 19.05mm cylinder diameter. According to courtesy nissan the well known and expensive nismo slave cylinder has a diameter of 20.54.
~Taken From Courtesyparts.com~
"""When using with NISMO racing clutch kit, this product changes the heavy clutch pedal feeling to a lighter feeling.
Bigger cylinder diameter (20.54mm) comparing to the standard one (19.05mm) enables you to control the clutch pedal much easier.
Best matched with the NISMO racing clutch series."""
So 300zx (z32) slave cylinders are the same SIZE as any 91-98 240sx. No the nismo slave cylinders is not the same as a 300zx slave cylinder. About 1.5mm different in diameter."
so really all i need to know is if the z32 master is an upgrade that will provide softer pedal feel which i have been told by one person that it will provide a softer pedal (but it will increase the throw needed to disengage the clutch which shouldnt be a problem)
can anyone confirm that?

Pedal bracket breaking is a known weak point. Nismo actually sells an upgraded bracket due to it. As far as making your clutch pedal feel softer, you cant use a Z32 slave since it wont bolt up.

i noticed the z32s have a mirrored bolt pattern. thanks for the input i think ill reinforce the old bracket and get an lsx master cylinder from wilwood. i dont mind the stiffness. im just worried about blowing out my master cylinders seals now

Nah, Mastercylinder would be the least of your worries. You have a higher chance of blowing out the slave more than anything else. Between the extra pressure or incorrect TOB/carrier setup, you could easily hyperextend the slave out. Upgrade to a Nismo slave, delete the dampener and that should be all you need to do with the clutch hydraulic system.

damper is deleted. gonna be getting gktech hardened pivot ball and, im running a yellow braided line to an aftermarket slave. but idk what kind of slave it is
my slave says like T4L on it and AS 05 on the backside, and doesnt have a nissan logo anywhere on it. it looks like it might be an exedy slave. i dont really see it hyper extending though since ive already ran it w/o problems
