Dumb question about Intercoolers kits?

Im considering my KA for an SR. I have an S14 chassis. which intercooler kit do i use with a redtop? do i use a S14 kit or S13 kit? thanks

Yes but doesnt it require a little adjustment to fit correctly...S14 motor in an S14 is one thing but an s13 motor positions the cold pipe differently--high port vs. low port intake manifolds....

I was under the impression that when you swap in an S13SR into an S14 chassis that you need an entirely different cold-pipe..... (then again i could be wrong)....that the pipe had to be custom made...

That's a big negative Captain. On the S13 Redtop there will be a rubber elbow that connects to the stock coldpipe. If you rotate the elbow it will meet with the s14 SR piping

I had S14 SR piping in my S13 w/ redtop. It will work and it won't leak. If you have any issues though go to a shop that supplies semi radiator hose. find some in a 3" variety and find the propper bend and viola you are set

bah we had to hack almost two inches off the front of my SR piping to fit it to my blacktop... well the second inch was cause I got a greddy intake mani :)

i have an s13 sr in an s14 and we had to hack it all up. the cold pipe still has an opening that will be used on an s14 motor but not on an s13 so we taped it closed.

Man this is confusing me... everybody has told me that i need an S13 intercooler kit. Ive got an s14 with an s13 motor.
