cool... a sr20 n/a. what are your plans for it?
you are very brave in buying an imported motor off of ebay.
Nice engine!!
Now put some 300ZX N/A pistons (to raise compression 11:1), cams, a nice header... and welcome to N/A city, hopefully land of 200hp! :)

brave? ya maybe a little. these guys are the real deal though. official website, tons of testimonials, and very good customer service so far. anyhow!
Im torn between what to do with it. I come from the land of FWD SR20's, where we turbo them and make them DET's... but I am playing with the idea of a fun rev happy N/A

That's begging to be dropped into a 510.

i thought JDM SR20DEs made 160hp... anyway. it is a very nice engine none the less, and lighter too.
N/A Power... if you like it, I can trade if for fully built SR20DET. ;)
nah... I like my SR20DET... But I would LOVE to own a SR20DE N/a at 200whp

tell you the truth i have no idea the stock horsepower. I believe the S14 engines came with the vvl technology, you can tell by the humps in the valve covers. i think the s13's are almost identical to the fwd se-r motors, so should be about 140 HP. anyone clear that up?

S13 SR20DE = 140ps (138hp)
S14/S15 SR20DE = 160ps (158hp)
S15 Autech SR20DE = 200ps (197hp)

I think I may have dealt with jhot before too.

They never came in RWD but I'd get the SR16VE motor. 200hp 1.6 liter motor! Or the larger SR20VE with the same output but more torque. Both with Neo-VVL.

funny you mention neo vvl, on the sr20deforum there is a guy doing a RWD vvl set up. very interesting.
glad to hear good things about jhot!
i'd buy his S14 SR20DE, but he doesn't ship to Canada...

i cant believe no one is bidding on the S14 SR20. If I lost the auction on the one i got i was going to try to get that one!
Like I said, I would, if he shipped to Canada.

650 is a stellar price. you can seem them go for like 1500 on most jdm engine sites. I lucked out!
I just found an S14 SR locally for 900 cdn.. with cut harness though... i dunno if it's worth it..

Wow, I wished I had the cash to get that s14 motor. That business is only a hour or so from where I go to school. What tranny would one use to replace the auto anyways, would a det tranny bolt up??

Mr Nice Guy - Oh chit!! the ghost in the shell is back!?!? sup spook?
Now how did I know that when I saw you had posted in this thread that something about me being an ghost or internet bot would come up?? :hsdance:
Hmm I may have to watch the auction and if they don't sell it (reserve price and such) I may have to see if I could get it or have them try to get me one with a manual. I have wanted to have a NA high revving motor in the s14 for a while now and this would be a good deal. :coolugh:
damn... didn't see the harness.. I'm sure I could do the harness too... the harness is the least of my worries.. it's more the lack of power I don't know I could get used to...

hicas with a N/A SR... would definitly be unique Halo.
I take it you found the harness.
Jhot wants 275 shipping to my house... georgia to fl.... what you guys think? seems about right.
