Does that key ring light bolt right in to any s14 and light up when door ajar? May be a dumb question but I'm currently without one.

USDM S14'S didnt come with this option so you will need to wire it in. You can search and find a slew of ways to do it. You can put it with the headlights, door switch or on a timer for courtesy lighting. Other then that yes it bolts in.
