Now before people tell me to search and shit, I have.
I want to know 2 things:
1) About 2 months ago, there was either a groupbuy or a website selling them for $125. Anyone know what happened to that?
2) Has anyone seen a price cheaper than $183 shipped?
My OBX has let me down, and cost me $30 in redline gear oil spewing out the top, and I'm not f'ing around with that anymore.

i have the exact same problem... think the previous owner had afmkt shifter and put stock back on when he sold it. been trying to figure out how to fix it. would replacing the whole thing with a aftermarket fix that up?
redline burns off goldish-bronze as it off the housing. my tranny looks very pretty now.

I got mine like 6 months ago for $200 shipped on some group buy... $125 shipped would be INSANELY cheap and I'd imagine you'd need like 10,000 people to get that kinda deal or something.

Southwest Autoworks had an overstock sale $125, and hosted a GB on NICO, but it was 182 shipped for the 240sx. Its a 7 page thread of people bitching, took like 2+ months to recieve. I backed out from the GB and ordered from performancenissanparts.com for $192.

Yeah i ordered mine from performancenissanparts.com too, and they've been out of stock since august. It seems that no one has these in stock because B+M redesigned the shifter and the new units havent shipped out from the factory yet.
Does the B&M include the screws to secure it, because mines missing 2 of them, then agian, the shifter is gonna almost cost more than i paid for the car...

noise problem? i'm not real familiar with the 240SX B&M shifter but if you mean a nice metallic clicking sound i'd say that's a bonus. i love how the pedals feel and sound in the S13. all RAW and unmolested by high feluting rubber coated sound killin bullcrap... hehe

vibration noise at high speed/rpm. The have released a 2nd version, i heard it did reduce the noise, but not sure by how much. i.e. i don't think completely.
but hey, in my car, i have so many noises, another wouldn't matter much. Plus as a psych major, i'd say you will habituate to the new sound soon enough =)
