I have a 95 s14 ka24de engine and i cant get the timing correct because my lobes on my camshafts dont seem to match up with where the timing chain marks should be. idk why not

SO if you line everything up correctly on the chain and try to turn the engine the intake valves in cylinder 4 try to open when picton 4 comes up.

Its the cam shafts i have i know they are the problem here. i dont know why but there keyways and lobes dont seem to match any thing ive seen on youtube or the FSM

But the cam lobs themselves match the other camshafts ive seen just the keyways positioning on mine differ from other cam shafts making my timing marks incorrect

Is there anyway to line everything up correctly since i cant use my timing marks

Please dont tell me to check my timing marks ok i have triple checked these. its the camshafts keyways being position differently on my cams

does anyone have pictures of how the cylinder 1 lobes should look at TOp dead center?

<> is how the lobes face when doing the timing. Are you sure you don't have two exhaust cams?

it actually if anything looked like the cams were flip flopped. but my exhaust had orange paint and my intake had green. regardless like you said < > is what i ended up doing and i think my timing is on point now
