anyone buy a engine from http://www.jazzproparts.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1, they have really cheap prices, I know you get what you pay for. But they claim motors have average of 35,000 miles. anyone?

cmon guys

YOU LIVE IN SOCAL

why you trying to save a buck when you can go down the street and have your pick at so many options?

all the motors usually come into LB port anyway, go buy it in person, a motor is something you REALLY want to be sure about.

I would agreee that too cheap is a bad thing, but i have been looking and RB25DEts run from 2500 for a entire front clip (alot of places sell at that price) to about 5500-6000 for the motor itself. Price alone is not the end all of the quality issue. since they also sell for $2500, I was checking for thier quality or the motor (not a complete clip even).

I already have a couple of places in LA to look at motors, but I just like to have alot of places to choose from.

**edit diddn't sound conversational**

if you know any good places in SD to pick up a R33 front clip at a reasonable price please inform, but in the mean time i will make a list of possible places in LA to visit over a weekend (as many as possible) and a possible list of out of state places that could ship to me for cheap or free.

They had an SR20 write up in Modified Mag and they ordered from Jazz Pro Parts and the mag said they got a good engine with good compression and low miles. It's this months issue.

yeah, i was just saying that a bunch of these "jdm importers" are smaller yards that just buy from the big dogs, so its just you eating the middle man

and buying local is a no brainer to me, cause engines are one on those "gray area" type purchases

It doesn't seem to be that great a deal to me!

Motors average 35,000 miles and come with a 100% start up warranty with 60 day warranty on block and head.

Engine Package Comes With:

•Complete Motor

•Throttle Body

•Transmission 5Spd RWD (with Clutch Assembled to the engine)

•Wiring Harness

•All required Cables

•ECU

•Exhaust Manifold

•Alternator

•Starter

•Power Steering Pump

•Power Steering High pressure Line

•Wastegate solenoid Controller

•Wastegate actuator

•A/C

•Fuel Rail

•Injectors

•Canistor

•Turbo

•For Ignitor Chip, Master Air Flow (MAF), Air Cooler, Pipping Please add $595.00 to the total and call for availability.

After you add in this last line, you at $2490 for a red top. And my internet isn't uploading any pics right now, but from what I understand this isn't a front clip. Sounds about average, for red top at least.

i talked to a woker there before and they said feel free to drop by, check it out and do a leakdown/compression test if i brought the equipment. They seem legit, but i never got the chance to check out the motors first hand.

As for those optional parts, i agree.. its ghey that they dont include it with the motorset upt you can always upgrade or find the parts on ebay for cheaper

I ordered a SR20 Koyo radiator from them off of their EBay store. Instock and shipped a few days after I clicked buy it now.

If your skeptical just pay by credit card and make sure it has a good chargeback policy. If you get fucked by a seller, chargeback his ass and take em to court. 90% of the time you will win your money back in full as long as you redeliver the goods to them.

If you dont have a credit card then sucks to be you and you will have to take the risk of getting scammed.

it's cheap because the dealer can sell them at any price they want. These importers gets these clips for 300 bucks each (if you guys didnt know, not sure if i should've told you guys that either lol)
Just make sure they actually sell what they're selling, also make sure they come with everything you need. Sometimes it can be cheap because it's missing a few things. But ALL these engines are used anyways. Even if you did buy from a good shop, they all get it from the same importer. there are like 5 shops in so cal that gets it from the same person. Each of these shops sell them for different prices too.

they dont warranty the turbo, so if the turbo is flooded with oil (cough) time to spend some more cash

I have got 2 sr20det redtop from them one was mine and blew up after 3 months ( though i was not easy on it) and the other was my friends his still runs fine. main problem with them is there ecu stash they carry alot of jdm tuned ecu's and they dont work. my first was a mines tuned and my friends got a totally different ecu the harness didnt even plug in. I recently got a s13 black top motor and tranny from www.noyanusa.com for 1450+tax made it like 1500ish but not bad and motor was very clean though it is leaking from front main seal. the clutch that came out was almost brand new looking and was original or oem replacement but since the fly wheel was in great condition to i think it was original. I think I like noyan better because they are 2 hrs from me and i can pick out my motor
