Boost gauge reading

Recently got my sr20 tuned and dyno and was running it at 12 lbs. When I drive around though, boost gauge only reading it up to only 5 lbs at wot. I replaced my electric boost sender, vacuum lines, and did all runs in 3rd gear. Anyone know why it would read 5 lbs compare to the 12 lbs at tune. I got the tune done 2 weeks ago.
