So back in 2015 (not that long I know) CX Racing dropped their turbo kit for the S Chassis that is supposed to be pretty much plug and play. I ended up being one of the first people to buy one, and due to work (Army, deployments and such) I have just gotten around to putting the motor and turbo kit together.
I have a couple questions for anyone who might have bought the kit as well, since I know CX doesn't really jump on the forums anymore.
-How were you able to route the spark plug wires? Im looking at some 90 degree kits and mounting the coil packs on the frame rail. My valve cover is aftermarket and doesn't have coil pack mounts anyway. My main issue I can see with the kit is you have to pull the manifolds to get to a couple of the spark plugs. Its not the biggest deal in the world, just seems like a pain in the ass to do. I have also heard use shorter plugs, but I don't want to take my manifolds all the way off again if this wont help at all.
-What did you do for the oil return? I have the full cx swap kit with mounts and oil pan so I was just planning on tapping the pan and running it straight down into the pan. Not as worried about that though cause I can figure it out.
-How did you fit the motor in the car? Tranny and motor at the same time? I know N/A headers have to take the steering shaft out to slidethe motor in, but I was curious if it needed to be done on the turbo manifolds before they went in.
-There is only one O2 sensor bung with the kit. The stock motor has two, so I'm assuming the wiring and computer needed to compensate for this.
There's probably a few more things i'll think of later, but its late and ive been searching the internet for hours trying to figure out what I'm doing to get this all ready to drop in. Ill attach some pictures to show where i'm at.
