*backstory* ive put an rb25 transmission onto an sr20 in an s13 chassis. I have 0 rb shifter and like 10 sr shifters.

I cut up an sr20 shifter and rewelded it to clear the dash. when I was drifting at the weekend I popped the shifter out 2 or 3 times. first it was the white shifter bush popping out of the gear selector rod in the actual box.(it was an old secondhand one) so I figured it hadn't seated correctly on install.

then I popped the shifter out of the actual bush.

so my question is,:rimshot:

is the lower half of an sr20 shifter the same as an rb25 shifter? IE, is the ball the shifter bush fits the same distance away from the ball with the 2 groves machined in.
from what im led to believe the only difference in the two is the top part is angled back more on an RB shifter.
