Before the inevitable flaming for the swap, I know it's unpopular for many reasons but honestly it's better than limping along a single cam any longer and I have the engine, trans, ecu, and harnesses already so I might as well.
I haven't been able to find much in the way of the wiring for this swap as it is fairly unpopular but I'm hoping someone out there can help.
My initial thought was that the wiring would be very similar to the Det harness that I've done a million times. However, the colors for the wires on the brown and grey body plugs are different and the dash plug is a different shape altogether than what I'm used to.
Some of the wires on the dash plug have correct colors (tach, water temp, ign) however there are some wires on both sides that don't match. I know some of them would be for the console port, but the A/C switch is my main concern.
There are about 9 wires between the 2 body plugs that match colors and 4 that don't. Specifically there is no matching wire (pink/black) for the fuel pump relay and I am unable to find a pin out for the ECU.
The ECU has a "V6" sticker and the numbers (23710 60F00) and (A18-F79 G19)
The engine also has the internal ignition coil style distributor like a US s14 ka and the black (speed?) sensor located just under and forward(towards the bellhousing) of the shifter linkage.
I haven't cut anything on the harness but I do have the dash plug and 2 body plugs from an old single cam engine harness.
Any sort of constructive help would be fantastic as all I have been able to find is one guy putting a sr20de into an s14 with a ka harness which seems much different.
-Thanks.
