Alternative Killswitch (nonFuelpump KS)

Anyone know where i could install another killswitch that would leave the ignition system with no power or the fuel inectors with no power? its an S13 ecu

Ive been reading over the wiring diagrams and i couldnt find a ground wire that would work, it looks like the ignition system goes to a "power Transistor" that grounds out in 2 different places. so i dont know if thats evena good idea or spot to put killswitches.

I want another killswitch thats not the fuel pump. I just cant find a good ground to put one that wouldnt cause a fire but will also stop the engine from firing

Im looking at Nissan's pin #4 for the ecu, it should be a red/black wire that comes from the eccs relay, im wondering if that would be an ok spot to put a killswitch even though its a positive wire

But really, why ? Why don't you just put a switch on the wire that goes from the ECU to the fuel pump relay and call it a day ?

Then install an FIA killswitch the way it is supposed to be done (with the resistor) and be done with it.

The power transistors that command the injectors are inside the ECU so you can't do anything there. And i would not mess with the ignition either.

If you don't want it to fire and don't want to wire an FIA switch, manually disconnect the power amplifier or the coil harness. There is no other (simple) way.

edit: there is a "hacked" way, that would be to install a switch on the CAS signal line. But you have to shield the whole circuit as otherwise it will act as an antenna and may send false triggers to your ECU.

What about breaking a connection to the eccs relay? that should cut off power to the ecu right?

I have an s13 Kade. I have a toggle switch, (breaks circuit) on one of the wires running to the stock(ish) ECU. Works really well. I haven't had any noticeable problems in about 25k miles.

My reason for doing this, Croustibat, was because I wanted something that someone wouldn't really think to look or hear for.

Where ever one pleases to. I have mine under the dash on the passenger side in an undisclosed location. The toggle switch is nothing fancy. The wires are hidden within the harness so they're not standing out like a sore thumb. Also, the toggle switch is the exact same colour that it's fastened to...extra camouflage.

You do realize those cars are not worth a dime, and no one in their sane mind would steal one unless it was tuned enough so they could get some parts from it, do you ?

Completely rebuilt block and head w/ 40k miles. Enthalpy tune and all the crap that goes w/ it. AEM gauges, Bee*R, Apexi AVCR, steering wheel and Q.R. R32 seats, control arms, coilovers, Sil front, rims, brakes...

Don't get me wrong, it's still a 240, but there are quite a few items there that will grab the right person's attention.

I already had a car stolen and burned, thank you. It still was a crappy car that some idiots stole just because they could. If it had a kill switch, they would have burned it right there, which would probably have burned the place i was living in. So yeah, kill switch on a rusted piece of crap is stupid, as much as stealing them is stupid.

But the stupidest of all would be to actually drive a showy rusted piece of crap in a neighborhood full of idiots. Better move out than add bling to that piece of crap... because cut off switch ? If someone wants the car and can't make it start he's just going to wait for the owner and beat the crap out of him, tow it or burn it down.

I like the OEM clutch neutral safety switch, just relocate it or wire it to something else.
