Well I just got finish autoxing today with the car with the turbo for the first time. It went okay, but still noticed that I need massive grip right now. The rear tires spin a good amount when I get on it on turns. I adjusted my suspension at the softest setting, but still comes out a good amount. I am running yoko es100 15-205 all around. I am in this situation where I can't afford any larger rims but can possibly get a set of another 15" tires. I was wondering if it is worth it to get 15" falken azenis or borrow my friend's 16" rims and then buy azenis 16" tires for those? Again, I really don't have money for bigger rims + tires, so I have to think of what I have to do. Any help will be appreciated.

look into Falken Azenis Sports 205/50/15. THey will fit a stock wheel nicely. Will run you around 320-340 though

Save your money, learn to drive it with the ES100s. The 205/50-15 Azenis Sports will not be all that much better. It's still a street tire, and the drastically smaller diameter (23.5" instead of 25") will only exacerbate your problem (overpowering the tires).

When you can afford it, move up to the 205/55-16 or the 225/45-17 Azenis Sport if you want to keep using street tires. The Kumho Ecsta MX in 225/50-16 is also a good option if your friend's 16s are wide enough (at least 7" wide, preferrably 7.5" or 8").

um...at the local auto X, the only choices are MX and Azenis Sport..the ES100 isn't even considered a performance tire

Thanks for the advice, I am just going to save my money for now and just use the es100. I think I can really learn alot from the new personality of the car on these tires and am going to buy bigger rims and tires during the winter break.

instead of posting this wrong info for the situation you should asked for his setup instead of thorwing out the option for narrow azenis in a size that doesnt exhist.

his setup is a ka-t with a t3super 60, prolly pushing 300ish+ rwhp. 205/50r15 azenis will NOT hold that power, even in a straightline. 215/45r16 will probably not hold it either.

use my rims, look at khumo MX 255/45r16 i think, they are on tirerack, i was looking the other day its either 255/50r16, 255/45r16 or 245/45r16. find the size you want, 255 widest, and call rami to get the hookup.

for otehres reading this thread when asking/giving advice it helps a TON to list the mods of the car. a civic competing in HS will work great on 205/50r15 falken azenis sports. a 400whp sbc powered datsun 240z will not work well on 205/50r15 azenis, even though they might fit on the stock wheels.

and sorry for the rudeness, dont take it personal, this is the internet.
