Alright hopefully someone here can help me out. My passenger side headlight kept blowing fuses. After some time the passenger high beam just stayed on even with the switch off and the key out. Upon a bit of research I found out the s chasis is known to have failing headlight switches after some time. So I did what others recommended which was taking it apart and cleaning the contact points, but it's still blowing fuses/ having issues. Can someone show me exactly what contacts should be cleaned and is it completely necessary to regrease the contacts? I could only find images of the switch contacts for the s13 but the contacts don't look like those of the 14. Hopefully someone can further asist me. Thanks for any help in advance.

Is your car lowered? Have you tried looking at the harnesses above the front wheels?

1. inspect the harness by the light, I had one melt together once on a car. I actually keep a spare 95' headlamp connector in my box now because of that.
2. the switch is easy to change at the column, should be had from ebay/junkyard for $20-$30

Holy sh.... The second i read your comment falcon I knew exactly what happened. The car is pretty dam low and sure enough my tire rubbed away the splash guard and about 4-5 wires in the process including what I suspect is a ground wires insulation.

The big one is the hood release cable if thats what you meant. Good thing ya caught it before it went into all the same-color wires lol.

I feel your pain. I did the same thing after I first lowered my car. Went through about 5 wires. I ended up losing ac from that. I'm still trying to figure out the ac....
