it's kind of hard to say from the photos you posted, but those don't look like negative offset wheels to me... negative 1 on a 7" wheel, maybe, but almost certainly not negative offset on an 8" wide wheel... or so it looks. my 15*7 +5 have more lip than that.
If, on the other hand, you took pics of the back/inside of the wheels with a sticker that showed the numbers "16*8 -1" or something like that, then it'd be more believable.

Furthermore, unless those tires are something like a 235 or 245 width, I wouldn't expect that much "bulge" on the tire if it were really 8" wide. (OK maybe they could be 225/55/16...) But for what it's worth my 205/55/16s are visibly "stretched" on a 16*8 wheel.

To be honest (and I'm not trying to hinder your sale, although it certainly would if it were true), those look like 16*7 +/- 0 wheels to me. just commenting.

they are prolly only 7" wide, me thinks he measured them wrong, they look to be 16x7" 0 offset, and the first picture it looks like the sidewall says 225, which is about right for how a 225 looks on a 7" wide wheel. those are definetly not 8.5 wide though,

Those are Eagle wheels IIRC or Prime, 16x7 0 offset. the 16x8 are like somthing like -30 also Ive heard of some that are -15, but nothing like that. Also I noticed "their 8.5 W/TIRES". So their a 7 inch wide wheel. What adey said is right.
