Has anybody used these? I'm not to keen on how they look (although, i've never seen them mounted i don't believe) anyways, Trying to increase the light output of my bricks, without slapping in HID's.
I have also considered LED swaps as well. However, Just wanted to see if anybody has used these and could comment if light output was better or worse?

If you really care about light output you should do an oem hid projector retrofit along with the clear lenses. These old lights are garbage regardless of what bulb you put in or lens swap etc. The reflector surface is almost always extremely degraded and since it was designed over 25 years ago it wouldn't be up to today's standards were it brand new anyhow.

Yeah, bricks look cool as hell but they don't light up shit. Even with HID's they won't light up shit. Even with HID's and clear lenses they won't light up shit. If you wanna be able to see get the dual projector lights. Those can be retrofitted with other USDM projectors with the correct cutoffs and aiming to work well. If you wanna look cool, just keep the bricks and deal with not being able to see shit. Personally I would NEVER swap out the OE glass for some cheap ass plastic lenses that will fade and look like crap in no time.

Yeah there is a reason they came on the cheapest S13 you could buy.

It is possible to retrofit the bricks, I've just never done it or seen it done. It's the same as any other reflector to projector retrofit though.

Plz don't butcher a set of bricks thinking that a clear lense will do anything performance wise.
You're still gonna have ancient halogen tech, with no fluting to "aim/project" the light.

It can and has been done, just not common.

I'm still not entirely sold on the looks, but it's def. going to give you solid lighting.

I did a retrofit with clear lenses with my bricks. I already had the harness for my dual projectors and HIDs and I said why the fuck not? I used Mini H1 projectors.

If you like the look of the bricks (reflectors), why in the hell would you retrofit them with projectors? That makes no damned sense.

this!!!
my car had these clear lenses on it when i bought it and i went out and found a set of glass lenses because i thought they looked better, light output is the same regardless of lenses

It wasn't that hard, I just removed the low beam reflector and gutted the metal housing where the halogen bulb fits inside. Then I made a hole big enough in the low beam reflector so the projector can sit flush with the housing.

Are the reflectors made of plastic or metal in the bricks? Don't want to take mine apart, yeah, light output sucks major balls, I was gonna look for someone who had broken bricks and see if they'd sell just the reflectors, cause if they're metal, can't they just be sanded and polished out?

They are made of a compressed fiber material like most headlight reflectors and the reflective surface is vacuum metalized onto the part. Not restore able.

What are you talking about? The reflectors are made out of metal with a chrome or similar finish. I took an angle grinder to mine and sparks were flying everywhere lmao.
